I bought it just looking at it without really looking into the size of the pieces. I saw a lot of adapters and I thought at least one of them would fit and none did. So do your research and make sure your getting the right size.

To clarify, though this is a universal charger,the product description says that it will work for MOST Acer, Asus, Averatec, Compaq, Dell, E-Machines, Fujitsu, Gateway, HP, HP/Compaq, Lenovo, Sony and Toshiba laptops that require 90W of power or less. If your laptop falls under those requirements, you can certainly contact us so we can check which tip you need to be using.

I purchased and returned the 65W and 90W universal charger kit. Neither one fit or worked with this item. I called Insignia and they said they would send an adapter that was not included with the original and they tried -- unfortunately, no such luck!! Try HP.

When I got home and plugged it in my laptop gave me a message that it was not the required wattage even though the package said it did. This item allowed me to use my computer while it was plugged in but it did not charge the battery and it also caused it to work very slow. I had to return the item.
