However, my Dell laptop uses lower amperage and would not accommodate the adapter. When I called the help line they simply said it wouldn't work. So I returned it to Best Buy for a full refund. Very frustrating.

Since I forgot my charger, I went into a Best Buy in Tucson. The salesman told me the universal charger kit would work with all Laptops. Unfortunately, he was wrong, and since it wouldn't fit my laptop, I returned it in Scottsdale.

The best buy sales associate handed her this adapter saying it would work for her laptop. None of the pieces would fit. This is the reason for my 1 star rating. I'm sure if it would have fit, it would have worked fine.

Doesn't fit Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop as advertise

When I called the included phone number to get the tip which presumably would fit, I was told the adapter itself is incompatible.

I get home and my Dell laptop didn’t take the charge! I specifically told the sales representative I had a Dell laptop. After searching google I find out that Dell laptops can only be charged with Dell chargers.

The computer did not take a charge using this power source. With all the other tip options, there was not one that worked with our other laptops either. Seems to be more specific than it leads you to believe.
