Minimally functional

The fit is not good and one of the elastic bands that hold the tablet in interfere with the on/off button so I have to remove the one band when using it. The case is nice and sturdy and protects the tablet when it is in a backpack or briefcase and it does have a kickstand for landscape mode but not for vertical and, unfortunately mostly I need to use it for vertical. I did have the 8 inch version for an 8 inch tablet that worked fine.

OK for 7" tablets, not so for 8" tablets
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was heading out on a trip and needed a case for my Insignia 8 inch Flex tablet. I assumed since the case was made by Insignia that when it said it worked for 7 and 8 inch tablets that it would fit the one I had. Unfortunately, the 8 inch Insignia Flex tablet was a bit too big. While I was able to fit it in the case, part of the bezel sticks out. The stand capability works well once you figure out how to fold it out. I think if the Insignia Flex did not have such a wide bezel, it would have fit. I think if you have an iPad Mini or a 8 inch Fire HD, they would fit fine. My recommendation is bring the tablet in question and check first. If you have the 8 inch Insignia Flex tablet, get the 9 or 10 inch Insignia case instead. The workmanship and quality seems on par with cases from Targus.
