Sturdy projector ceiling mount with tilt and horizontal level adjustments. Comes with 4 mounting arms and numerous holes on the mounting plate to accommodate most projector bolt patterns. I’m using it on an Epson 2250 with 3 of the arms and it works perfectly. All of the pieces are made of sturdy metal and it comes with a good variety of screws, bolts, and washers to fit a variety of projectors. It’s a relatively shallow mount, but still drops down about 9” from the ceiling. I didn’t look it up, but the middle pipe threads into both the ceiling mounting plate and projector mount, so there’s likely a longer pipe available if you need a longer drop from the ceiling. As for how it functions.. It’s great! It’s a projector mount, so it’s likely going to be a set and forget installation. It has a fairly wide degree of vertical tilt and just enough adjustment range for horizontal leveling. Just loosen the bolts to adjust and tighten when it’s set. It’s a sturdy mount, fits my Epson projector perfectly, and does everything I need. They even include a cable organizing clip on the drop down to keep things tidy. If you’re looking for a sturdy universal projector ceiling mount, this Insignia mount is an excellent option at a solid price. It’s easy to put together, comes with everything, and has all of the adjustments I need. Good job Insignia!

The Insignia NS-PROJ25 projector mount is a compact, sturdy and versatile piece of kit that will serve the mounting needs of most medium to lightweight projectors. As long as the weight is under the 35-pound limit, and the mounting hole pattern of the projector is within the parameters established by the manual, it should probably work on your projector. In the box are the printed instructions utilizing an easy-to-read font size and black color as opposed to light gray and tiny fonts. Kudos to the factory for keeping it easy to read. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for all the information printed on the bottom of the box, because it fails the practical readability test. In describing the mechanisms involved in the mount, there is a “ceiling plate” that attaches to a sturdy structural member whose mounting location from the screen you wish to project to is determined by your projector’s lens-throw information and desired screen size. An easy-to-attach “mounting body” is threaded into the “ceiling plate” and held firmly in place via the generous amount of pipe threads and a hex-head lock screw. The “mounting base” attaches to the projector via only the plate, or if needed, with the assistance of some mounting arms extending to more widely-spaced mounting holes. Then, the whole assembly of the projector and the “mounting plate” are lifted onto the hooked aspect of the “mounting body” and secured with all the tightening hardware to dial in the projector’s image centered onto the screen. So, all-in-all not too hard. My impression of this mount design and it’s manufacturing is that it is sufficiently beefy to get the job done with the end result being a very attractive appearance while being practical in its adjustability. I’ve worked with a number of different projector mounts in the past, including ones that were holding up really heavy projectors, and this model seems easily up to the task for its weight range. My last mount suffered from an instability issue that caused me to have to re-adjust it more often than was convenient, so bye, bye old mount, and hello Insignia. As sometimes happens, everything turning out all right in the end takes an abrupt turn towards the unexpected, as happened here. During the short selection process of obtaining this mount, which did not afford me the opportunity to view the actual maximum dimensions of the mounting arms, I discovered that my projector’s mounting holes were spaced quite widely apart, going past the dimensions of the arms provided. So, Mr. Improviser and I just reused the longer arms of the previous mount and attached them to the Insignia mount, and all was on track again. Obviously, this isn’t the ideal situation, especially for those who don’t happen to have a set of longer compatible arms hanging around. Therefore, listen up, the dimensions of the mounting holes should be less than 9.58” for any two adjacent mounting holes while using the arms. Or, if you can imagine the mounting range as being within a circle with a 13.54” maximum diameter, which is handy to know if your projector is using three mounting holes. If you need any more specific dimensions, you should probably consult a copy of the owner’s manual. When all was said, done and tightened, the mount performed excellently and I am quite pleased. The stability seems to be just what I was looking for and the project was completed.

    Solid build, odd tilt

This projector ceiling mount has been a pretty good add to my home theater set up. This ceiling mount has several aspects in which I love but only one that I do not completely enjoy. From a positive standpoint this mount is black in color and built very durably. It can maintain up to 35 pounds, can be use with 3 or 4 hole mounting hole and has up to a 14" wing span between mounting holes. In short this is beyond sturdy, a previous mount i had used we build as "efficiently" as possible but gave me pause on if it could support the weight of my projector. The only odd thing about the mount is that the tilt in the fact that it requires a screwdriver to adjust, other mounts had a screw pin or something more user friendly in order to adjust. This was the only real item that was a tad annoying to me. In terms of setting up the the mount to my ceiling ( make sure you use blocking if you cannot use a stud) it was very straight forward via means of 2 deep set screws. All in all this is an amazing ceiling mount that has surpassed my needs. The color is discrete and can fit most projects, as long as they are less thatn 35 lbs and need less than 14 inches of wing span between mount holes.

I’ve never really relied on ceiling mounting with an expensive piece of equipment. Even TV mounts carrying over 85 inches depend on snug-fit-engineering to keep heavy equipment up, but the materials used are so malleable, I would not put an OLED TV on them. Projector mounts are the most susceptible to gravity because they carry dead weight without any other anchors but the bolts on the beam. That is why I like this Insignia ceiling mount. It is built so solid, it is almost the actual extension of the beam holding my projector up. It changed my trust Installation is pretty simple. The kit comes with a template sheet to set my holes on a beam to match the exact holes of the mounting base. After a couple of unlucky beeps by my finder, and a ton of wood dust, the base plate is fixed. The pieces are very well built and the threads of the mounting pole to the ceiling plate is very precise. Each material piece is very solid. It is heavy and dense, much more like pure iron. Now connecting the mounting plate onto the projector is a little bit of a challenge. None of the arms really match my projector holes and the matching N bolts corresponding to the holes available to the mounting plate do not go deep enough into the projector. There is a good quarter inch of bolt sticking out from the ceiling plate. I had to improvise by using the arms as the spacers to keep the plate snug to the projector (see photo). After the plate is fixed onto my projector, it is easily hooked onto the mount body. Screws lock pieces in place and the hinges can be adjusted and tightened easily. The mount is very solid that my heavy 3LCD projector becomes light in comparison. That is all I need to give me peace of mind—one strong steady base that holds that piece up there, not just from breaking my device but from making sure it does not give me liabilities in the future. I know my equipment, and my family and crew are safe.

I have a projector and have had it mounted on a homemade janky shelf bracket contraption I came up with. This is necessary due to the fact that where I have my projector mounted in my gym room, it needs to be angled down and kicked sideways to get the picture framed up correctly. Enter this ceiling mount and away goes the janky angled shelf that always had to be readjusted. Here are some things I have found after installing and using this. It's easy to set up and install once you know where it will be affixed/fastened to your ceiling. I found joists to secure the lag bolts to. I would not want to trust my projector ceiling mounted above a concrete floor using drywall plugs or anchors. Try to find secure stud or joist mounting options. Once I got it attached to the ceiling, I probably could have used a second person or set of hands to get it attached to the mount, but I got it and then the rest is just sighting in the projector screen aimed correctly at the wall and tightening up the crews/bolts to keep it in place. This is important for me and those with a fixed set up where I want it squarely pointed at the wall level and even. I noticed initially I did not have the screws tight and it vibrated a little I guess, because the projector shifted loose and skewed the picture framing. Just had to get it tightly secured once sighted in. This is exactly what I needed for my projector in my gym room and I highly recommend it if you have a projector that is mounted!

Solid mount for the price. It was easy to install and feels sturdy once it’s up. Holds the projector securely and was simple to adjust to get the angle just right. Doesn’t look bulky and blends in well with the ceiling. Overall, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do with no issues so far.

Effective but simple and easy to set up. I have an older large body traditional throw projector so finding one with the arms spread wide enough to fit the screwholes required a bit of research. This one fit my wider projector and is rated for the right weight (30lbs). Super easy to install and works great. The only downside is it is a very short drop so if you have higher ceilngs you would need a longer drop or to be able to adjust your picture downward without affecting your picture quality.

Easy to adjust, heavy duty metal mount

The Insignia Universal Projector Ceiling Mount is a good value and solidly built. The mount is all metal construction, and easily assembled in pieces to make mounting a breeze. #Unboxing# The ceiling mount comes in a surprisingly small box given the size and adjustability of the mount itself. The plate for the ceiling, down tube, articulation, and the projector attachment are 4 separate pieces. A template is included for drillling into your ceiling joists, along with various screw sizes and extension arms to fit most projectors. #Using the mount# Mounting was very easy with the included template. You can easily drill holes in the correct spots and then mount the ceiling plate first. After getting the ceiling plate mounted, you can then screw on the down tube and the articulating elbow and tighten down the set screws with the included hex key. From there, you can mount the plate to your projector - it accomodates either 3 or 4 hole mounting patterns. I'm using it with a small cheap projector for my kids' room, but I compared the mounting pattern with a very large Dell 4K HDR short throw projector and it would easily work with that projector as well. Once you have the plate mounted to your projector, you loosen two bolts on the articulating joint and hang the projector on the bolts. Get your angles set, and then tighten everything down again. My only complaint about the mount is the lack of wire management built in - you could theoretically run an HDMI cable through the down tube but it would have to be very thin and you'd have to be pretty clever with how you mounted it to your ceiling joists. Velcro straps it is, I guess. #Final thoughts# The Insignia Universal Projector Ceiling mount is a good value for a quality mount at a fair price. I don't think I'd trust an expensive projector to anything less than this mount. It's easy to mount and get your angles just right to keep geometry correct.

Looking for an affordable option to mount your projector to the ceiling without paying the high price of the name brand? Look no further than the Insignia Universal Projector Ceiling Mount. It's designed to hold up to 35 pounds so it should easily accommodate most home projectors. The package includes everything you need to mount your projector to a drywall or concrete ceiling. It really is universal as it can be adjusted to fit virtually any projector. Use the included template to mount the ceiling plate and then screw in the mounting body. If the holes line up, you can attach the mounting base directly to your projector. If not, simply attach the adjustable arms and line up the mounting holes. It works even if your projector has irregular mounting holes. The mounting body allows multiple swivel adjustments to fine-tune the placement of your image. You can tilt the image +/- 25 degrees and even swivel a full 360 degrees. I really appreciate the flexibility in the mount. Once you've got it set, simply tighten the screws with the enclosed hex wrench and you're ready to go! The black, heavy-duty metal construction makes it very durable and at about 8", it's barely visible between the projector and the ceiling. Once again, another quality product from the folks at Best Buy!

This mount is really straight forward. You install one bracket to the ceiling, using two simple screws (wall anchors are included if you are not mounting to a plate or a stud), then you mount the projector using the adjustable/removable arms to the mount holes on your projector to the basic plate of the mounting unit. Then you simply attach that to the mid piece and screw it in. Plug in your projector, power up then adjust the angle of your projection, and you are ready to go. pros universal mounting arm patterns allows for many different projectors to work with this mount. heavy duty, feels strong and should last a lifetime mostly easy to adjust projector with simple screw adjustments cable management, it is nice that there is a hole in the primary wall plate and the next piece which allowed to run a network cable and hdmi cable through the center of it that helped hide a good amount of the cabling, making for a cleaner install cons personally didnt find anything wrong with the hardware, it did what was expected Overall, i would recommend this universal ceiling mount. especially if youre on a budget but needing something well built, i really dont think you could go wrong with this one.

This projector mount is quick and easy to setup using the included mounting hardware for your ceiling location and where the projector will be placed. The mount is a universal mount, making it easy to align with you projector and mounting to the ceiling. The max weight limit for this is limited to 35 lbs., due to the anchors and only 2 screws holding this into place on the ceiling. There is an included cable holder for the bracket to the cable running closely along the projector mount and into their recessed location in the wall for routing. The bracket does have multi-angle adjustment options to with allen-key locking to help level the projector to it projected screen location. Once installed and everything is locked into place, it has a nice clean professional look to it. While this color is nice, it would be nicer if they had this available in other color tones to match your walls, this can be sprayed to match the color tone if you would prefer it to match your ceiling color exactly. Not all projectors are black as some are white and having the option for a white one would help it blend in a little more better with its mounting environment.

This mount is no joke. It's hefty. I've only had smaller projectors and had to borrow someone's larger projector just to test this out. It works well, though, and although the "universal" tag is a little misleading when it actually means universal if your projector has 3 or 4 mounting screws, it's universal enough. Out of curiosity, I did end up trying out my smaller projectors with a single screw on the bottom and was able to still mount them without an issue. But it's made to be used on larger full size projectors with some assortment of 4 screws in the middle or 3 screws around the edges. Installation is as hard as you'd expect. The biggest difficulty comes with finding your joist in the ceiling and screwing the base into it. You get a nice little template so you can easily mark where you need holes, though. So it's really not that bad. Everything else in this box screws together pretty easily. Included instructions are pretty easy to follow so I didn't find a lot of difficulty. It's nice that you install the base first and then everything else screws onto that. Make sure you're screwing into joists or using some heavy duty anchors (there are concrete anchors in the box). The specs say there's a 35 lb weight limit but the actual mount isn't very light itself so you're hanging a decent amount of weight from your ceiling here. The two main ways to mount your projector depend on your projector. If you have square of 4 screws in the middle of your projector, you don't need to do anything but screw the mounting bracket into those 4 screws. If you have 3 or 4 screws around the outside of the bottom of your projector, the box comes with 4 arms that you screw into those holes and then you arrange them and screw them into the bracket. This is where the universal nature shines. Usage is basically set it and forget it. There's a wire channel you can put on the main pipe that lets your route your cables up. The base rotates 360 degrees in a circle and tilts 15 degrees up and down. So you should be able to get the picture exactly where you want it. Tighten down the set screws with an included allen wrench and you're all done. Basically, it's a mount. It does what's on the tin. If you're in the market for one and this is in your price range, look into it. It feels hefty and well made. It works with a lot of different projectors (and even some that it doesn't say it's supposed to work with). And it allows for a lot of freedom of movement after you're got it mounted.
