This is a quality product. I’m using it with my MacBook Pro to connect an external monitor via this dongle, and it has worked perfectly so far—no issues at all.

I had ordered an adapter for my iphone from Amazon to replace the one my daughter broke. The one that arrived kept telling me I needed to disconnect my recording device when it wasn’t plugged into a recording device. It was plugged into my van to play on the entertainment system for the kids on our 5hr drive north to go surprise my in-laws. I ended up returning it to Amazon as soon as we got back because I couldn’t use it. We had just gotten on the road and stopped for dinner when my husband decided to test it all. Fed up, I pulled into BestBuy with just a few minutes before they closed, asked for this adapter for my Android phone that I normally use for gaming, my husband downloaded Disney+ to the phone while I was in the store and this ended up saving our sanity on our road trip north and now this adapter and the Android phone are the primary use for entertainment for the kids on our road trips. Even when I have to drive around town with the kids, this is a must have every time we leave the house. I keep it stored to with the HDMI cable in the glove box.

This is brilliant & compact & fits in laptop case without a big bulge like most adapters. Sleek & non intrusive. Wont leave w/o it! Makes life so easy & much faster than iCloud transfers especially for the big files.

I bought the adapter for my son's Mac, not sure if it was really compatible for connecting to an extra screen. Thankfully it worked and for almost half the price of the one Apple was selling.

This is the second one of these I bought, and it works perfectly. I have one attached to a PC and one to a MAC and they allow me have an additional monitor and still charge my Airpods. The extra USB is perfect for the mouse dongle. And they are small enough to be portable, unlike a docking block.

I just plugged into Mac Book Pro 2020 M1 version and it’s works. I was able to use 2nd monitor with HDMI port. Type C gave me power. Very Happy with cost savings.

My new MS Surface laptop from Amazon, did not come with an HDMI port. If I had known that I would not have bought it. BB Geek guy said "Wait right there." and came back with this little item. It worked perfectly to run my 2nd monitor. Happy Feet!!

The Insignia adaptor works just like the Apple adapter which I also have. The longer chord of the Insignia is an advantage as it allows more room for the HDMI cable around the computer.
