It allows you the flexibility of keyboard position while maintaining the laptop screen in one location. It also gives you a numeric keypad; something that many laptop keyboards don't offer. Also, if your laptop keyboard has problems ( broken keys, etc.) an external keyboard is an inexpensive "fix".

Excellent value basic keyboard

This keyboard quickly installed and works great; easy key strokes and flawless operation. I think I paid about $10 for it, and compared to big name/snazzy brands...this is an outstanding value!

Does everything a keyboard should

Easy to install and use. Basic keyboard, great price. I much prefer the wire keyboard over the wireless. Mostly because no batteries are required.
