I wouldn't recommend it for any kind of recording work outside of notes for your own personal use. It's probably good for basic voice input, like speaking to Cortana in Windows 10.

It works great with low sound resolution, but workable. I upgraded my monitors and forgot to return so I continue to use on old monitor as needed.

I haven't done that yet, but my SUPER ASUS computer and Windows 10 encourage me to use a mike to ask questions of CORTANA, the problem/search shortener/generally WISE facet of Win 10, and I use the mike daily, often, to ask CORTANA questions. The communication with this mike is flawless and it certainly saves a great deal of typing (which for such an elderly person as myself is important). I really couldn't do without it!
