    If you need to get away from the laptop microphone,and have a spare USB port - this microphone serves the purpose. There are microphones with better frequency range if you need to do recording - but for talk, this one is fine.

    Very nice microphone. It is not necessary to have the mic. up close to be used. It picks up voices clearly from 12" to 18" away.
