If you’re anything like me, I saw a video on YouTube saying you could use this exact mic for Switch games with party chat, but it has a terrible static in the background that doesn’t go away, even when the mic is muted.

Does not work with Windows 7

When contacting Insignia customer service that verified it does not work on Windows 7 platform so I had to return the microphone.

If you just need something that works, it will. But it does pick up a lot of background noise too. On the receiving end you can hear a high pitch noise (which I think might be the cooling fan from the computer itself).

We apologize for this specific situation. This mic is a basic one and certainly a quick alternative if you just want to have a conversation via skype. If you are a heavier user or have a lot of online conferences, my recommendation would be our model NS-CBM19.
