It does work, although I believe we needed one more adapter to hook up a VGA LCD. We also had to disconnect and reconnect initially to figure out how and when it would display.

I probably won't ever need it, since I use a MacBook Air rather than a MacBook, but if I ever need to diagnose a MacBook screen, I will be prepared. Plus, it could be handy for adding an extra screen to a MacBook.
