There is another adaptor which has both a HDMI port and a USB-C port which allows you to gain a HDMI port without losing the USB-C port on your computer. Buy the latter, if possible.

There were no instructions included on how to download the driver. I returned it and was not able to get it to work for me. Not even a website or phone number for technical support printed on packaging.

However on the packaging it recommends the computer software required, that should have been my 2nd red flag. The first being that it was an open package. Clearly someone before me tried and failed as well. The product is inline with smartphone accessories, (at least when I purchased 2 months ago) however does not work with smartphones.
