Bought this as a recommendation for my oculus rift on my laptop. It converts USB-C to USB 3.0 and does the job well.

Purchased for my MAC that has all TB3/USB C connectors and it will only work intermittently. I don't know how it works with other devices with the same setup, but... it doesn't work with the MAC flawlessly. Sometimes I plug it in and it indicates that it does not have enough power and shuts the port down. Purchased one directly from Apple and it works just fine. ALL THE TIME! So, no thanks Insignia to any future purchases...

This is the best adapter ever!!! It works perfectly with my Samsung note! Easy to use and the phone automatically pics up the thumb drive. Fast and the most convenient way to add things to your phone as well and remove them to make more space. It also works wonderfully with word and Adobe documents to transfer and open on your phone..

I have an Asus Transformer Book T100HA (newer and more advanced brother of the T100TA) which includes a USB Type-C port built in to the tab and a standard USB port on the keyboard dock. I decided to give this a try regardless of the fact that it says "for Mac", and it works FLAWLESSLY on Windows 10, using my new Seagate Backup Plus Slim. For those reading this and confused, it will help you use the USB Type-C as a traditional USB port.

I haven't followed up on USB-C flash drive prices, but this adapter was far cheaper. I have quite a few regular USB 3.0 and 2.0 flash drives and I am able to use them on my 2017 MacBook Pro which only has USB-C ports. It fits very easily into a pocket in a laptop bag, but I usually just keep it in the original box as I use a backpack.

What can I say about this product. The new MacBook Pro I bought my wife on Saturday does not have USB slots. A converter is required to be able to connect external drives , mouse etc. I was told by my salesman that this product worked just as well as the one manufactured by Apple at a quarter of the price. He was correct for $10.00 we were able to connect all of our USB devices to my wife's MacBook Pro. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to connect a USB device to their late model Mac or MacBookPro .

Very simple to use and does what it is intended for. Works right out the box and is very inexpensive. There is no need to buy this type pheriperals in name brand and pay the extra cost. This product is of good quality and the best part of it all is that it works.

If your getting anything with usb-c then don't leave the store without at least one of these cables and your going to regret after getting home if you don't also pick up one of the multi-hub adapters along with this cable because you will quickly find out this is a product you WANT to buy one of each kind of new cable because USB-C is the new standard and it is safe to invest in this cable type moving forward... There are differences in the cables so make sure if your looking for 3.1 2nd gen or 3.0 1st gen... I bought this for a Samsung Chromebook Plus and it works perfect for 2.0 and 3.0 drives at 2.0 speed

The Insignia USB-C to USB-A adapter does what its supposed to do. It is simple and easy to use. Both ends are snug but not too tight...perfect. I've used it with my USB3 backup hard drive and with my USB Lightning cable for my iPhone and iPad, and it worked perfectly and quickly. At $7.99 it was a bargain.

I bought this adapter to connect my Nikon Digital SLR to my Galaxy S8. I use it to download photos from the Nikon on to my phone. Worked great. I can then air print the photos off my phone.

For the the price I find this product to be great. Work perfectly. No delays and fits right in my laptop. I’ve had this product for a while now and still going strong!
