    The downside of the new Mac is it doesn’t have any ports other than a type C. You need this adapter to plug in your items

    You have to buy it when you buy the hard drive if you want to hook it up to your computer. Not sure why they are sold separate?

    It works fine, my only problem is it hangs out of my laptop 5" and I rather have something more discrete. If you are plugging something heavy in then this is the way to go because the wire is flexible which keeps the pressure off the computer.
