None of my type A usb cables fit the type A port of this adapter cable. They all were too long for the cable port. No connection with my computer or tablet. Maybe a broken pin inside and defective, but I traded it for a little more expensive name brand one.

I mostly use it with a USB 3.0 wireless mouse and 1TB external hard drive. I would recommend this $10 dollar adapter if at the moment you can't shell out $40+ for the official Apple adapters.
