I purchased this since my new laptop had a Type-C USB 3.0 connector and I wanted to use my Type-A female tabletop mount extender with my USB 3.0 flash drive. This adapter was inexpensive and has done a great job.

With a ton of USB cables I needed a way to connect them to a USB-C computer. This is absolutely perfect. Easy to use. Works great.

Insignia USB type C to A Adapter- works as designed and advertised. Its fairly straightforward and easy to use, even for an old goat like me!

If you are getting any new MacBook then you will need to get a usb c adapter. There are many options out there. The insignia one is the best bang for the buck and is $10 cheaper than others on the market.

Purchased to allow USB connections to a MacBook Air. Worked well for almost a year. Has developed intermittent issue with connection on USB-A side. You really shouldn't have to wiggle a connector to get it to work. Worth it for the price. Will replace, but keep as backup hardware.

If you have a newer laptop that doesn’t have a standard USB port, This is just what You need. My thumb drives fit perfectly and there is no loss of speed. Great item!

I lost my Apple adapter and NEEDED a replacement FAST. I ordered online for a drive through pick up. Best Buy has their system in place and made this purchase so easy it was incredible. The adapter works perfectly as expected, so no complaints at all. And the price is MUCH better than the Apple version.

I recommend this adapter to everyone. This adapter is very affordable and fixes the issue of not having a USB port on the newer MacBook Air laptop.

Purchased a computer with only 2 USB ports and quickly found I needed an additional USB port so purchased this a quick cost efficient fix. Glad I did as it has come in handy more than once.

Bought it three years ago for my Mac Air and works perfectly,

I was on vacation and had to do a password recovery. Using a secure key I could not access other than from my phone. This cable allowed me to connect and save the day. Worked perfectly.

If you still have older tech using USB Type A, you can now connect to newer laptops or devices using USB Type C. Though it's rated at USB 3.0 5Gbps transfer rate, it is the same as USB 3.1 (gen 1) speed. The price point is attractive too.

This adapter is simple and does the job well. Yes, the fancier, more expensive ones can accommodate several different types of storage devices, but they come with their own set of problems.
