It doesn't recognize the one I bought a few months ago. It has to be a Type C To type A. I have tried several solutions. The Geek squad guy said maybe call Apple to help figure it out. The salesman, Shashin was very helpful and was very knowledgeable about the situation and about the different products. He was great to work with. Thanks, Julie.

I know I find myself using 2 or 3 at a time most days.
