From the frying pan into the fire

Salesperson told me this was a fix as i needed a special connector and 15v. Bought it and headed for the presentation. Pulled it out of the box and the tag clearly stated "not for use on laptop computers". Luckily my laptop lasted until the last slide - then poof. Went to Casper Best Buy where I couldn't exchange it but i did get a service guy who knew her stuff and she got me the right cord.
