    I bought this charger for my tablet, but wouldn't charge at all. Switched with my husband, who has an 8" tablet and it worked fine with his, so not a loss.

    Yep, it plugs into the wall. It would be nice if they sold it as part of the charger that you need instead of charging you separately for both components.
