I bought these as I have many cables to use with my charging hub, but not enough plugs to have in the other areas I want to charge my devices. This USB plug have protection against over charging, over currents, and over heating. They provide fast charging speed for your Apple and non-Apple devices.

This wall charger does as it is supposed to do, and I like using the Insignia brand on many of my purchases. This charger has been in place for over a year and has not failed me. Good product

The blue light is nice and useful. And, it charges quickly.

When my phone charger stopped working I had an immediate need for a replacement. Luckily I found this product. It just replaces the base unit, so I was able to utilize my own cord. I appreciate the cost savings versus being forced to buy a complete new charger.

This does not work properly with my iPad. I got this to replace my Apple charger destroyed in a lightning strike. I was sick of the slow charging times borrowing my iPhone charging block. Well, guess what? This does not charge any faster. I double-checked the specs and confirmed - yes, it's 5 volts at 2.4 amps for a listed total of 12 watts. But I plugged it into my wattmeter to see actual load and it stays at 5 watts. No improvement over the iPhone charging block. I don't know whether this is Insignia's fault or Apple's, but assigning blame isn't going to help. It doesn't charge MY device at 12 watts. I went back and bought an Apple charger and things work fine. For me, this is only handy in a space limited area due to the side-entry design of the USB port.

This charger is fast and works great. I've had mine for almost a year and it's still working just fine. The four stars comes from one tiny thing that won't bother most people. The charger has a quiet, very high pitched hum and beep. It's not constant, but it is consistent. I can only hear it because when I sleep my room is almost totally silent. Unfortunately, because of that the beep and hum have gotten to where they drive me bananas. Like I said, the charger itself is great. Fast, still working. The beep hum is nitpicky, but if you have sensitive hearing you may want to choose another charger.

Bought this wall charger, a few of them actually. Just wish the light indicator on it was red instead of blue. My fav color is red, switch it up and make a color series of this!

I bought this in store without looking at any reviews online. I asked at the Samsung desk about a replacement brick (I wanted a second one) for my galaxy s6 and specified that I wanted it to do the rapid charge that the original charger does. They said there wasn't anything in that section and pointed me towards the wall of insignia products. I selected this product and asked at the cellular area if it would indeed rapid charge my phone (the box makes the claim that it charges all devices at their optimal rate) and they assured me it would (I should have known better since it happened to be an open box discount item already). I got it home and plugged in my phone and not only does it not rapid charge, if I'm using my phone at all it hardly charges at all and if I'm playing certain games I will actually continue to lose charge albeit at a slower rate. So I returned it today and didn't buy anything else, apparently best buy doesn't sell the original Samsung charger and hasn't bothered to make one that will do the job. The only reason I gave it two stars is because a similar one (appears to be the same charger in slightly different plastic housing) that I bought several years ago has held up very well so I would wager it is as durable as the old one.

I bought this and a USB C to USB C charger on vacation because I had forgotten mine at home. On the box itself, the wall charger is labeled as "Universal USB Wall Charger." Conveniently, there is no mention of exactly what USB versions the wall charger supports, nor, again, conveniently, are there any pictures depicting the back of the charger or its USB port. So, I figured it had to at least support USB C. That was a wrong conclusion. Despite the name of the product being "universal USB wall charger", this charger only supports cables which have a Usb 2.0 component. If I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to Best Buy/insignia, I suppose the 'universal' in 'universal USB wall charger' refers to the fact that it can charge any usb type so long as one part of the cord is USB 2.0. Regardless, it's horribly misleading, not to mention the fact that theres no way for a customer to find out exactly what type of USB it is until they buy the thing. Just spent ~40 bucks on a charger cable and wall charger that I can't even use. Tl;dr this wall charger has a USB 2.0 port despite it claiming to have Universal USB support on the physical box.

I came home and plugged it into my wall outlet and it worked fine.

It was a simple decision. when you have to chose between a $30 + original charger and a generic one for cheaper it was an easy decision. I have other insignia products so i trust this brand as well. it works and charges my phone

voltage is just right to handle the phone. don't be discouraged by brand. great product

I needed this while travelling to serve to plug in my USB device and it works great

This product functions very well but I'm frustrated that I have to purchase this independently of the charging cable.

This is a simple product good for helping charge my Garmin device. The downsides include it only having 1 USB port and being on the large side making it difficult to place in a power strip.

Bought on October 16. By Thanksgiving it would no longer charge my Note 10.1. Yes, it's cheaper than the OEM Samsung model, but now I have to exchange or return it. And after all that "Our products are awesome" BS from the salesmen, you'd think it would have lasted longer.
