Thought this would be a little better then it was. Waste of $10

If you run across this in the best buy store and are wondering if it is as good as google cardboard or if it is a cheap knockoff, let me just say that it is just as good as google cardboard and works the exact same way. In fact, with these, you can download the cardboard app and use it just like google cardboard. As far as virtual reality, it is actually a lot of fun to play with. I have really enjoyed it thus far. The only actual complaint that I have about it is that it doesn't have any sort of heard strap, so you will have to hold it up yourself. Apparently, this is a part of google's design model. It's not a huge drawback, but it is something to consider.

I bought this due to always wanting to try out virtual reality but not wanting to drop so much money on an expensive set. I do not regret my purchase at all, watching YouTube videos along with messing around with the Google Cardboard app really make this product worth it. The construction is primarily cardboard with foam to make wearing it comfortable and while its not much, its actually quite comfortable. I had so much fun using it that I ended up buying 4 more of these for my parents and siblings after my experience. It is a great start to Virtual Reality and it won't break the bank.

I was curious so I bought a pair of these viewers. They were easy to assemble and easy to use. The VR experience was fun - the whole family tried the glasses on and enjoyed using them. You can sync this device to your phone by scanning the QR code on the bottom and that activates the clicker on the top of the box. I recommend to use the included rubber binder to secure your phone to the cardboard - it is easy for your phone to slide out if you don't.

Gave this to a grandson who wanted only money for Christmas. This VR is a great buy for the my money & allowed me to hand him a gift & a check. It was road tested by five boys from 23-10. They gave their positive approval. Even the lack of a head strap wasn't a problem. One of them would like his dad to get him one. Well done Nana (patting self on back!). His iPhone 5s (sans phone cover) fit right into the sturdy card board "box".

The idea of using this to turn your phone into a VR headset is interesting, though sadly at this point it is sadly pointless. With most of the apps for this no longer being worked on. It also lacks a head strap so you just have to hold on to your face or make one yourself. Overall an interesting that sadly turned out to be bad and a poor experience.

Found out my phone is not compatible with Google Cardboard, but I'm using this VR viewer to look at old stereoscope pictures on the Library of Congress website in 3D. Works just like a View Master. Fun

It is a nice VR by insignia, not only was the price good , but over all quality was great for basic VR use.
