I have a google mini which I absolutely love, and wanted another one. Saw this on sale and checked the reviews of course some were good some not so much. I decided to give in a try. Right out of the box I could not connect to the app I had already downloaded to my phone, so I downloaded another app to my iPad. It connected right away setup was smooth. The sound is amazing. I hate to admit it but it’s better than google mini. Setting bluetooth is tricky. You have to hold the two dots, in my opinion that could be better. Things were fine until it stop connecting to the internet, which was one of the problems I read in other reviews. I disconnected it for a while and plugged it back in, went back to working. Don’t know if this problem will continue. If you can get it on sale I would go for it. I bought it to play music and alarm clock. Have not been disappointed with either.

I was initially skeptical about this speaker. It ended up sounding better than expected, and the Google functionality is essentially equivalent to a Google Home (which I also have). I've put one in every bedroom in the house, because at the time it was significantly cheaper than a Google Home Mini and yet does so much more.

Was a little skeptical at first when I purchased this but once I finally set it up I was pleasantly surprised of the outcome. Mainly because I bought it at such a cheap price. But it did not disappoint! Google feature responds well. Great for small places like dorm room, guest room, etc. Speakers is a plus!

This speaker was easy to set up and use. The google assistant works great and the sound quality is great for the price. However this speaker would not connect to my Samsung smart TV via Bluetooth. As always Best Buy was very good with their return policy.

Set up is a breeze. Great as used as an alarm clock. This was a gift for my wife and she likes it. Have to be honest, I have 2 Amazon echoes and this and Alexa is starting to catch up with Google. The sound is surprisingly excellent. I recommend to anyone looking to replace an old fashioned alarm clock and listen to music.

For the money ($49.95) this is a great product. The sound quality is decent. The Google assistant works great. This is replacing our alarm clock in our bedroom. Easy to set an alarm by voice. Also can adjust our Nest thermostat by voice. Don't expect Bose quality sound. I give it 5 stars based on the price point.

great sound quality and setup is simple. it does requires a WiFi connection to do anything more than act as a bluetooth speaker. my only issue with the speaker is the fact that it retains no setup information in the event of an internet outage. I've had to set the thing up about a dozen times...

This bad boy has Google assistant which is super helpful. I can turn on my smart lights with this and use the useful Google Assistant whenever I need it. It gets fairly loud and has a touch interface on the top. It also had the time and weather on it with different light levels which is really nice.

I set this up to replace a huge alarm clock on my nightstand. I was going to add a Google mini but paid the same as the Black Friday price for this. Folks who are having a hard time keeping it connected need to make sure your phone is also connected to 2.4ghz network. My router is on the opposite end of my house and there are 3 walls to get through. I picked up a little repeater, plugged it in and set it up on other side of the wall of bedroom. I have not had one disconnect since doing this. I couldn't give full 5 stars because the digital numbers aren't as sharp as they could be. For the price of a mini on Black Friday, it's great and no longer shouting to my regular size Google Home in the living room. In fact the Insignia mic is very sensitive and I can speak just above a whisper. Really like using my voice to set alarm.

I was stuck on one of the 1st firmwares that didn't quite work properly, such as the alarms not sticking and the display not displaying the current temperature. Now, after the update, it works great. It sounds so much better than the Google Home Mini. For the price, these really cannot be passed up.

Got this for my kids room. They were in need of an alarm clock and wanted a Bluetooth speaker... Bam! This worked perfect! Set up was easy and the sound quality is amazing. A Lotta bang for your buck. The Google home feature is a huge bonus. The kids know control the lights and tv/soundbar with this!

This has so many things in one device. Great sound from bluetooth or WIFI connections. Shows time and temperature. It is an alarm clock. It has google assistant built in so can answer all of your questions and control your other smart items.

Bought this on a great sale making it almost as cheap at a Google mini. I believe this speaker dogs better than the mini and it also has a clock and local weather displayed. Works well and convenient.

Bought this as an open-box item.Brought it home, set it up and was Impressed. VERY impressed! Simple to set up, simple to use, fun to play with. Once I found I could adjust the bass & treble I liked it even more! The sound quality absolutely belies its price; you could spend a LOT more and come away with a speaker that doesn't sound as good. My only complaint is that the bluetooth is utterly useless. It crackles and breaks up regardless of where the source is. My phone was 3 feet away at one point and it was unlistenable (It is entirely possible that just my speaker does this. It WAS open-box, after all...). Bottom line, I am very happy with it, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to virtually anyone, especially now that the price has been lowered to what I paid for mine. You simply can't go wrong for a measly 25 bucks!

It follows my commands to control my home, gives me all the answers a normal google home does and connects to my google home app. When playing music it connects to pandora, Spotify and YouTube accounts to play what I like. The volume is loud for such a small device. Definitely would buy another

I did not expect a great quality speaker on this for the price, I expected it to be passable to fair but what I got is speakers that sound great with little distortion even at high volumes. The Google assistant is what I bought this for but I liked it so much I went out and got a second.

This is my second Insignia speaker. It works great an the quality of the sound is acceptable for a speaker of this size and price. I would recommend this as a good buy. Google assistant works really good This speaker is usually on sale.

Its pretty good at picking up voice commands, but unfortunately the display cannot be dimmed to complete darkness for people who sleep in blackout rooms. If this feature could be adjusted and added I'd be very happy for improved sleep quality.

Really like this device. I own 8 of the Amazon Alexa/dots but wanted to try Google’s offering. The clock was what made me purchase it. Really like it, better than Alexa! Sounds great and works perfect.

Got this on sale for $30 based on reviews it sounded better than the Google Home Mini. Itxs sound quality is pretty good for a small device and almost as good as an Amazon Echo gen 1. The voice assistant has a hard time hearing me beyond 6-8 feet away unless I purposely speak louder than a conversational tone. It's excellent for a bedroom, but might struggle in a large kitchen. The voice assistant function is pretty good a nd seems more conversational than Alexa but currently has less functions like it can't call a location you just queried. Integration with google products for shared lists and whatnot is fine. A minor annoyance is that if you also have Google Assistant enabled on your phone in the same room they both will respond to your voice commands even if you are doing something else on your phone, which can hinder multi tasking.
