It has Google Assistant built right in. I don't feel like they really thought about it because it has the ability to display a second line of info, like the temperature. All I can get it to display on that line is the temperature. It could have been used for so much more. Time will tell whether they get this right. In the meantime I like setting my alarm by voice.

Google has their models of assistants and Insigna has added a few features. It's a good looking unit with a clock and temperature when you ask what the temp is. The clock is always on, which makes this a good choice for any room. This has all the standard features of the Google Assistants, but the speakers are a little bigger and the sound even better. Easy manual volume, mic on/off controls. I bought this for a clock included model and am very happy I found this.

Nice speaker, good sound quality and plenty of thump for a speaker that isn't that big. The built in Google assistant is a great add adds a whole other element to the speaker and casting to it is easy to set up and works better than a Bluetooth speaker because you can be across the house and send music anywhere. I have three placed in three different rooms and it's easy to jump back and forth between them or play music on all three simultaneously

Google assist is awesome!!!!! Love this product. It looks nice, excellent volume. Sound is great quality too.

The speaker itself is very attractive and should fit most rooms. It's understated voice using Google Home. It's actually pretty heavy for its size, which is a good thing; there's a lot of hardware packed into a small package. I do like that you have the option of connecting it via wired or wifi, but mostly people will probably opt for the wireless option. Setup was a breeze; I just plugged it in, downloaded the app, and I was up and running in a few minutes.

I like this product so much that I gave this away as a gift and bought the upgrade. At first, I didn’t think I’d have a use for this product. After a simple setup, I was impressed by the ease of use and sound quality. I found myself using this daily for mundane things I would usually use my iPhone for. Seeking information is easier just asking Google than typing your inquiries by finger tip. I wish I wrote this review that way.

Google Assist works great and the speaker is really good for a single component. East setup too.

Nice alarm clock with awesome added benefits of google assistant for questions and streamed music. Sound ok for small unit and adequate for clock radio. Was worried after setup first day, had random popping sound and beep as others noted, woke me up but must have had firmware update and has worked flawlessly since. Purchased on one day sale and well worth the money.

Nice sound quality. Google assistant works great. But I keep having an issue where it flashes "LOAD" on the display. Have to unplug it to cycle power. I may have just gotten a buggy unit. Will update this review if I find a solution.

I'd considered a Google product, but saw this on sale. It doesn't do phone calls and so forth, which is OK for my use. I get frustrated with the "I don't know how to answer that" response, but suppose that is a Google problem and not with this device. All in all, it does what I wanted and doesn't do some things I wasn't looking for. And the price was right.....

This is a Google Home speaker made by Insignia. The main thing that attracted me to this speaker was the digital clock display and volume display. The Google Home speakers are cool, but I love having the digital clock. My ONLY regret is that I wish I had a few more dollars at the time so that I could have bought the same thing but the upgraded model that lets you use speaker phone through the speaker. But all in all, I am seriously pleased!

GREAT ASSISTANT! WORKS AS STATED. GREAT SOUND, PERFECT ALARM

I have Google Home speakers for general use around the house, but I wanted a smart alarm clock for the bedroom so I could have a clock as well as a smart speaker without having 2 separate devices. I was cautiously optimistic when this came out...and it did not disappoint! Setup was a breeze, it sounds great (not as good as the Google Home, but very close in sound quality and volume), it's responsive, and it just works! I couldn't be happier!

I probably will not use the Bluetooth feature since my receiver provides better sound, but the alarm feature works well and the Google Assistant is so capable that it ceases to be an amusing novelty and becomes a useful tool on a daily basis. Works great. I would give it 5 stars if I did not have to speak in such a loud voice to wake it up.

I bought this for a family member that had a 20 year old alarm clock and had complained about the radio signal fading in and out. So far they love this clock it's easy to use and they appreciate the simplicity of setting an alarm at different times each day as needed. (Golf tee times can come early in the AM) For the price I am not sure this can be beat.

This bluetooth wifi speaker is great. It is like the google home except that the sound is not as bassy and it cannot make phone calls. Other than that, it is a striped-down google home. I am able to connect my music library from my phone via bluetooth or wifi. Sound quality is very good. I like that it has an always on clock display. Perfect to put it on my bedside. I am able to listen to my favorite radio station from tunein as I sleep.

I recently got rid of cable and the only thing I missed was the digital clock on the cable box. I went in looking for a simple alarm clock and when I found this for only $30, I thought I would give it a try. It has exceeded my expectations. The sound is really good and the Google is responsive. The clock is perfect in my living room. If you turn the clock off completely while you slept, it would be the perfect alarm clock.

This is one great item, the sound quality is amazing for the price compared to the home mini. It fits perfect into the Google Assist ecosystem within my apartment and appears to respond just a little faster than the home mini. PLUS it has a clock and alarm built in. If you want to snooze, just wave your hand over the top, that's it! I would recommend this to anybody and can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

I caught this on sale, 2 for $50 got one in gray and one in black, setup was easy, they give the basic instructions with the clock, but you can go on line and get more, turning down the clock light was first, pared my phone to the Bluetooth to play music, setting up the alarm is easy, plus you can do soothing sounds to fall asleep to.

This is our first Google bluetooth speaker. The price was great, free with our purchase of a toaster oven. I like being able to ask Google Assist to play a certain genre of music and my music plays. A quick question about weather or some other question and after Google answers it goes back to playing my music. Easy to pair with other bluetooth devices.
