Once you hook it to a google mini the ability to use it to control lights and activities. However it’s alarm ability is lacking. I advised it to set an alarm and said alarm never went off.

That's aside from all the smart-home device control and other Google Assistant actions you can do with it. This is great for a bedroom alarm clock without needing an addition Google Home/Home Mini.

I like it in my bedroom

I got a really good deal and it was worth it to have a bluetooth speaker in my room. The Google assistant is sometimes handy although that technology still needs work. It is fun.

Okay for compact size

If you are only looking for a Bluetooth speaker, I would not recommend since it will remind you often that the microphone is turned off and ask you to turn it back on.
