The Google Home mini was great, except for sound quality (obviously). The Insignia changed everything! Sounds amazing, always on display for time at a glance, Bluetooth, and good mic for voice assistance. The only thing it can’t do is continued conversation, but that’s not even worth complaining about. Emphasis on that sound quality, because base.

I watch this when it was on sale for around thirty bucks we have even been cheaper this year as low as 25. It is speaker that has Google Assistant built-in as well as an alarm clock so it's great for bed size use. Does not have all the functions of Google Assistant but they keep adding more everyday. Really can't be beat for the price

Good price, nice size, good volume, pretty nice bluetooth

I got this as a gift for my college student, and she loves it. It has an alarm clock which prevents her from being late to class. The Google voice assist is her new best friend. The speaker is perfect for her to play her favorite tunes and not have to worry about noise complaints for being too loud. I'm considering purchasing one for myself.

I love this so much, I got two more! I will put one in my guest room and give the other as a gift! The sound is great and having bluetooth and Google Assistant all in one is amazing! I can control my Nest Thermostat and lights with my voice! I can also use Google Play music or stream from my phone! Get two! You will want another!

I cannot say enough about how happy I am with this speaker. Set up was very simple and I enjoy being able to cast my google play music without having to Bluetooth. The sound is good and remote volume control is convenient. I currently have mine set up in the garage and couldn't be happier with it. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

We already had 3 Google Home minis when we purchased our first Insignia one. We replaced the bedroom one with this one because it had a clock and installed the Mini in the kitchen. When on sale, these are as cheap or cheaper than a Mini but will have the speaker loudness and sound quality of a regular G-Home. The added clock is a bonus but unfortunately, you can't set it to 24h if you wanted to. Another downside is the fact that these Google assistant enabled speakers all get their updates a bit later than the official devices but otherwise, they will work exactly the same. You can add them to your home group to play audio across your home, you can control your home devices and cast videos to your Chromecast enabled TV. We ended up purchasing a second one to place in the guest room to entertain them when they stay over, it's great. If I find the need for another one, I will definitely pick one up.

This clock is a great cheap smart home device with a built in Google Assistant. It is basically a Google Home with a clock display. The speaker is loud and sounds good. The only issue is the mic doesn't pick up your voice if the volume of the music is loud.

Delivers surprisingly good sound quality for the size. The lighting display could be more clear; it's a little blurry thru the plastic. With the mic turned off overnight, the top becomes quite warm at about 90 degrees where the red/orange LEDs are.

Pretty decent speaker for its size. Google assistant works as expected. This unit is much better than i expected. Only paid $25 + tax which is probably why say its better than expected. I would definitely recommend (when on sale).

Bought this to replace my aging Chumby Alarm Clock. It works great but the Display and the Power LED at the Back are way to bright. So I used electrical tape for the back and tint foil for the front. Now its perfect. The hover over function is great. Sound is really good for the Bedroom. Wish it had the equalizer Function the regular Google homes have. Alarms work flawless. I hate that when Wifi is off the display only shows NET, no time. Since i turn my router off a few hours at night this is less than ideal. Wish Insignia would update the firmware more often.Overall its a great product for the Price (if you buy it on Sale).

Bought this as gift. Since most people nowadays stream music. The sound quality is good. Its no Sonos speaker but does the trick. Doubles over as an alarm and has google assistant which is nice

So when I first brought this home I was excited. It sounded great and worked great but after 15 minutes it would say sorry there was a glitch. I reset it and it would do the same thing so I left if plugged in and muted for a few days waiting for a firmware update. 5 days after purchase it turns out that the technical team for the product repushed firmware updates to the units and now its working flawlessly. The sound is good, the clock on the front is great. They LED power light on the back is dumb but I put tape over it and if they do a second generation I think they should get rid of it. I would even buy one in Best Buy blue if they offer it over the Geek Squad black its sold in now. The sound quality is good and it gets pretty loud. The range on the mic seems to be competitive with my Home Minis throughout my house. I appreciate the Insignia social media team responding to our complaints and fixing our issue in one full push.

I actually got this as a promo for free just for purchasing a larger item at Best Buy. I ended up giving it to my dad as his first smart speaker so he could use it for music in the kitchen. He has a larger collection of CDs, so I thought I would bring him into the world of streaming music. For a more affordable speaker compared to the others out there (Alexa, Google Home, etc.) it definitely puts out a good amount of volume. The assistant works great and definitely works the way you would expect it to. The sound quality is obviously not the most incredible thing you've ever heard, but it's nice for a smaller room in your house. For the price, it's a great little speaker that gets the job done. It works with Google Home, so don't pick it up if you are already an Alexa family.

This device pretty much acts just like a google home, the standard model not the mini or max. So therefore it does have a really deep sound, that actually can rival similar devices, or even soundbars that you can buy in store. Its quite shocking. This model also supports Bluetooth connectivity, which, if you have an nvidia shield you can easily control both at the same time and have voice control too! The one bad thing is this model does not seem to follow up with quesions or opinions that google has for the normal hub, which means you'll have to ask it several times to do things instead of just saying it. Realistically though, this works flawlessly as a clock too and blends in probably too well because of it too.

I purchased these when they were on sale for $19.99. Worth every penny and super easy to set up within less than 10 min with Google app. We use them in livingroom and bathroom. The speaker sounds great for the price and these have clocks to boot. Very solid units.

I needed a new alarm clock and was considering purchasing the official Google Home smart speaker. The biggest drawback was I would no longer have a clock display on my bedstand. My Google News feed surfaced a deal on the Insignia™ - Voice™ Smart Bluetooth Speaker and Alarm Clock with the Google Assistant built-in. I clicked on the link, reviewed the features and read a few of the positive and negative reviews. I was sold. I bought the device and chose in-store pick-up to save on the shipping cost. This device is outstanding. It was easy to setup and get started. I am impressed by the sound quality. My expectations were low. But for me, it was an improvement over my alarm clock and the Bluetooth speaker I occasionally used in my bedroom. I have already recommended this to a few friends and family and at least one has already purchased one for themselves. I was also impressed by the build quality and design.

I have an echo in my bedroom but the glaring omission was a clock in there. I came across this unit around black Friday and was happy to see 3rd party vendors using Google assistant. I picked this up on a deal of the day for $40 and could not be happier. I have a full size Google home, a Google home mini, echo dot and full size echo. This device is good considering what I paid. The only it is missing is the phone call feature which I never use so not a big loss. It can be added in a firmware update but still not going to deduct stars. I find that the speaker is not as loud as the full size Google home but not far from it. The microphones seem to do a better job picking my voice up on the insignia speaker. I love that there is a clock display. I think the design is sharp and eye catching along with the light up top controls. The extra USB port is helpful for charging other items. This is a worthy choice for a Google Assistant

I got these when they were on sale and they are excellent for the price. I would recommend these over either the Google Home or Mini. The sound is better than the mini, the clock is a nice touch. Don't buy this thinking it's a clock radio, it's a Google Mini with a clock. I bought one for each of the kid's rooms and i created a playlist and then a kid's bedroom group so music plays on just their clocks. The only minor negative is the snooze of the alarm, you should be able to wave your hand over the top of the radio but it's spotty. Thankfully I don't use that feature much. For the sale price, i couldn't be happier and may buy a few more to put around the house as a whole house music system.

If you're looking for a smart speaker that sounds amazing, look elsewhere. Look at the Sonos One or the Google Home Max. This speaker only sounds just okay. If that doesn't bug you, read on. This was my choice for a smart speaker for the bedroom. Google Assistant works as flawlessly as it does on my Google Home and Home Mini. The digital clock is a nice touch that keeps me from needing an extra clock on my nightstand as well. Another nice touch I really appreciated was the inclusion of a USB port on the back of the speaker. I use it for the charger for my Nixon Mission, but it's another small design feature that keeps you from needing to take up a ton of outlets for your gadgets. Overall I'm pleased. Yes, it could sound much better - but the sound is good enough for background noise and this speaker has a lot of additions you don't see on many other smart speakers.
