Insignia Water Filter Replacement

What we are not so fond of is the refrigerator stops making ice cubes when it needs a new water filter. It took a few water filters to figure it out and we almost made appointments for service calls thinking our refrigerator was broken. Luckily now we have learned. Hope this helps others. The filters are not cheap!

Is Best Buy the ONLY source for these and if so what happened to the supply chain. Is there a OEM replacement for this model as my filter light has been flashing for 2 months! We purchased this fridge from my local store but with the limitations in place we cannot talk to anyone and not getting any a help from Customer Service.

I have been trying to find one for almost a year now. Its a shame that this fridge is being sold without enough filters ever stock for it. Have called BestBuy and Insignia with no help at all from either. Now my water line and ice maker are useless. There should be some form of liability from either Bestbuy or Insignia.

Now ice production is negligible and forget filling a cup with water. If you are looking at a refrigerator that requires this stay away.
