I was skeptical but it does work.

The Insignia brand filter is two for $49.99 so I tried Insignia for the first time in 2017. The Insignia filter fit fine and I notice no difference in the taste of my water or ice. On the advice of the Best Buy employee, I always flush the system after installing a new filter. So far, the only difference is that Samsung advertises that it filters more particles than Insignia. I saved $25 and one less trip to the store.
