    I have no doubt that the filter does actually filter the water. My problem is that after about 3 months it was pretty clogged and the water came out very slowly.

    Everything looked exact with Samsung filter. But when I tried to insert the insignia filter it stuck and would not fully seat. Tried a little plumbers grease still no go, finally swapped the outside "o" ring from old filter and it popped right in with no leak
