Only issue I have is the filter needs to be soaked in water for 15 minutes before it should be installed. If you dont, I read that the water wont taste good at first since it is flushing out the carbon filter particles. Once installed, you have to flush water through it by running your water on the fridge for 5 minutes. Both of these steps are not necessary for the OEM version. Again, value for the price trumps these steps. Water tastes great and I cannot tell the difference.

Installed the first filter and found the water tasted funny. Read the directions (after the fact) and found that I should've soaked the filter in water for 15 minutes prior to use to remove carbon. Followed directions for second filter, and water tastes great!
