what can i say, dead on arrival, product looked and felt flimsy

The good: -- Bright main beam, especially for what I paid ($6.99). Great for hiking. -- Has both red and green night lights -- Has strap for over the top of the head for stability. -- Waterproof / water resistant (haven't tested) -- Uses readily available AAA batteries. -- Fairly light for what it does. -- Pivots downward to adjust direction. -- Padded where the light contacts the forehead. The bad: -- The case closes with one plastic hook clasp on each side. Unfortunately the clasp uses a plastic hinge which broke with first battery change. Even worse, this was outside 14 day return period. Needs a metal pin for the hinge for durability. -- The top head strap is too small for big heads like mine. Makes the lamp sit fairly high. Forget it if you're using over a hat and have a big head. -- Agree with other reviewers that the red and green lamps are dim for outdoor use. However, inside a tent, they are not bad at all. -- The white beam has only one brightness. Good luck trying to read in a tent at night. Use the dim red light. -- I got what I paid for. I don't know what the battery life is with the main beam, as I haven't used it much at all. The biggest disappointment was with the clasp. Had I known it would break this easily, I would not have purchased it or used much TLC. Open and close the unit with caution. It still works with tape holding one side of the case closed.

This headlamp is very good easy to use perfect for traveling and waterproof.

I bought it on sale for $7.99 and didn't expect it to be that good. To my surprise it was very good and I bought the 2nd one for my son, for our different outdoor activities. Green light is very convenient on camping to avoid blinding another person and normal light is bright enough for anything on camping and even for night time orienteering with map and compass. As for durability it's so-so, one of them got a problem during our 3 days hike - it turns of by itself sometime. Another con is on/off switch design and location: it's tiny bump on the surface that is not easy to locate (glue something on top - problem solved). Last problem - it's black, so it's practically invisible if you take it off at night(I put yellow duck tape on - problem solved).

Very bright light, good price. Will buy again in the future

I got this for my dad, and he just used it to do a repair. It is very bright (brighter than a different one that I was using). He did have some difficulty finding and pressing the on/off switch when it was on his head, but that is easily rectified by turning it on before placing it on his head. Great sale price, too!

I like this light alot. It fits nice and is comfortable to wear. Red and green lights are an added bonus. CON: Sometimes ya get blinded trying to find the on/off button..lol

I bought this flashlight to have in my tailor shop. he uses it for when he needs to work on his sewing machines and cant hold a flashlight in his hands. it adjusts to bigger or smaller heads and stays where you put it.

Nice head lamp...worth the price 7.99..works as needed. great for camping, outdoors and biking.

give good light in dark places in the home. it has red, green and white lights on different settings. the red and green may be useful outdoors, but i use the white in my home.

I bought two. And one just could not turn on, and if did turn on, it turns itself off automatically. So I tried to returned it to a local store. The clerk said that I could not return it because the box was opened and has to get "manager's approval". Well, how can I know if it is broken before I opened the box. Maybe she tries to be smart. The other one starts to do this the second fishing trip. When I need it, it won't turn on; and it turned itself on in the box. You would expect better from a Bestbuy brand. I guess that I will go to costco or Amazon for better return policy and for product with better quality
