It doesn't seem to affect the functionality. It's smaller than I would like but it's a great value.

The laser gets a little sticky at times. Remember to blow on it because one little hair in there can throw everything off.

I needed to return it for exchange but because the device failed after the 15-day return policy, I was unable to exchange the device. This has been a common theme with one of my best-all-time-friends, BB. Best Buy does not do so well in making the return/exchange experience more reasonable based on low-value/low-price purchase flexibility. If I were a member of management, I would see this as an area to potentially improve for the purpose of reaching more return shopping experiences. Because of the inconvenience, I ended up becoming so frustrated with the return policy that I bought another device (for more money) from a different retailer. I would have been happy to have bought another replacement from BB as long as I received some sort of credit or adjustment (without having to escalate to a manager). The negative experience leaves a bad memory in my mind about Insignia products, which also isn't fair to the manufacturer.
