Wasn't compatible with my Sony A7. A cheap product. I don't recommend. Spend the extra money for a good remote shutter release and forget this wired one. You don't want to be out shooting something amazing like waterfalls or the Northern Lights and have to rely on this inferior and ineffective product.

Works just like it's intended to, little awkward the first time I used it, just because of the multiple connections. But again worked just like it's intended to and was well worth the price.

If you have a Canon, Sony, or Nikon go ahead. It worked for my Panasonic's video function, but not for taking photos.

    Cheap Alternative

I purchased this universal wired shutter remote from BB, it was a cheaper alternative to the expensive and very similar Canon one and other costly brands. It's universal, comes with 4 adapters for different branded DSLR's. I'm using this on my Canon 6d DSLR and I used to use it on my now sold Canon 60d. This wired remote is pretty solid for such a cheap piece of wire and plastic, i use it for timelapsing at night and anytime i wanna pull the shutter without touching/shaking the camera. One minor gripe, the connection is kinda tight when connecting it to my camera.. i have to push it in, and it's pretty snug, when i disconnect it, it takes a little force.. no harm to the camera or remote that i can tell though.. so all good. in time it'll probably get easier..

The package was misleading by what products it worked with. I bought it based upon the package labeling and when I got back to my studio it did not fit my camera as stated. Very disappointed. I still need to return it but have been busy to do so.

I purchased this for a recent winter trip. Thanks to this remote, I was able to capture some amazing photos of the Northern Lights. There were a few times during use that I needed to push on the end plugged into the camera to ensure connection. However, this remote worked quite well, considering the conditions of 0 degrees Fahrenheit, with an even lower windchill. As a first remote, I am satisfied.

This is a handy remote release to have in your camera bag as you can use it on a number of different cameras. It's great if you have more than one type of camera body and you can help out a friend if they've forgotten to bring their shutter release cable ;-)

The NS-USR1 cable release works on certain Canon, Nikon, and Sony cameras. The cable is thicker than the brand name cable release. Since the adapter does not screw together, it falls off, so may need electrical tape to keep from loosing adapter.
