Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the affordability, wireless convenience, and easy setup of the keyboard and mouse. They appreciate how well it works with no issues and its durability. However, some users have concerns about the small size of the mouse, the lack of a caps lock indicator light, limited range, occasional connection issues, and battery life.

Solid keyboard and mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this with my new laptop, I couldve got a mouse for $20 bucks but I saw this had a wireless keyboard so HEY why not get it. It hooks up great, I use the mouse all the time. The keyboards drawback is that you cant turn it off without taking out one of the battery which sucks but hey it was worth it. I would've returned it for a bigger name brand like Logitech which I found later was selling a wireless keyboard and mouse for $22 but hey I aint complaining.

Good size, but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It bought it originally for the size - a full inch smaller than other wireless boards for the same basic price. The keys were sticky. So I took it back and got another one. The keys worked better but the mouse didn't work. It obviously could've been just the 2 that I bought, but paid the extra $10 and got a Logitech K330 and have been happy with it.

gets the job done
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so this was a necessary replacement for me because my son dumped water on my logitech k330. Pros are a paired nano USB receiver and (limited) multimedia hot buttons, Energizer batteries included in mine (not some off brand). Cons: VERY limited range have to be within 3 feet of the receiver to get reliable interface with this. I have a 42" tv I use as a monitor at times so I'm regularly 5+ feet away sometime i type or click and nothing happens on screen. Second, ergonomics feel clunky to me... no wrist rest on the keyboard (does have feet to elevate the keyboard), no OFF switch on the keyboard. Overall, Yes it gets the job done but i wish i had spent a little more on the logitech k330 set. it has better range, better ergonomics, and better features. Not disappointed with my insignia keyboard by any means. Just I know what a few more dollars would have gotten me.

barely works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it when it was $19.99 and hope I got a good keyboard/mouse pair. It does work and save one USB port. But I realized that it always has glitches. When I simply scroll, the mouse would stop while I am still rotating the scroll wheel. Have to stop and then it will resume. Sometimes, the mouse would stop moving, and resume after half a second. I am not even asking for games, so in order to play my game, I had to put the old keyboard/mouse pair as well and those worked fine. The style is close to what I hoped and better than most keyboard I got. It still needs improvement on the style since my HP keyboard is better style although it is too short. This keyboard does have a longer length so the keyboard is full that's why I didn't give it one star.

Worst mouse ever used
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first bought a wireless combo (probably Dynex) on bestbuy website and paid for $17. Very cheap because I don't expect to use them for several years (my last Logitech combo lasted for nearly four years). My only expectation was to use them for couple of months before I move. Then one afternoon I received the combo and was very excited to open it and used immediately. Only after one hour, I found the "C" key was not responding. I was very disappointed. So I went to a nearby bestbuy store immediately and returned the combo right away. Full refund, which makes me a little relieved. But I was in a bad need for a keyboard. So after returning the "one-hour" combo, I bought another combo (which is this one) in the bestbuy store and paid for $20. However, the disappointment never stopped. Only after one day, I found the mouse was not very sensitive. Sometime (even always) it froze and not responding. You have to wait for several seconds before the mouse "recovers". Also left-click is often useless. Honestly, this is the worst mouse I have ever used!! Keyboard is OK. One star for the keyboard. I was quite busy these days so unfortunately have passed the deadline for returning. Maybe I am just unlucky to get a malfunction combo. But I really don't recommend buying this one or the one I owned for one hour.

awesome!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In spite of its smaller size, it has the full set of keys of a standard full-size keyboard. The keys are of the standard size and slightly concave. The key travel is somewhere between that of a laptop and a full travel keyboard. The key strokes are firm and responsive. There is an indicator light for the Caps Lock key. It is convenient for password entries. Unfortunately, there is no light for the Num Lock or the Scroll Lock.

Works Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works good, my only complaint is that if you have a wireless card in your computer or any other wireless device nearby it will interfere with the mouse or keyboard, had to buy a usb extension to get it away from my computer case, it was taking in too much interference from other devices in my computer case.

Nice Package
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought wireless mouse and keyboard to use with my laptop. Both the mouse and keyboard didn't take much time to install and start functioning. I haven't checked the range as I didn't intend to use it from long distances.

Very disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasnt expecting much for such a cheap keyboard but this was really bad. The receiver broker instantly after the first use. It completely fell apart. Tried to glue it back together but that didnt help. In addition to that, the C key almost immediately became useless. It was constantly getting stuck in addition to other keys. This board was purchased for work so I didnt want to spend a lot but for $10 more, I went back and bought the Microsoft one and have had 0 problems.. This was my first and last Insignia product I will ever buy.

Total Bust
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our computer set up on an antique, family heirloom desk doesn't allow for decent management of cords. [Light bulb goes on]--we'll just get wireless keyboard and mouse! Didn't want to spend the additional $15 for the HP set so we settled for this. I mean, how bad could they be? Soooo bad they didn't even work, even after trying all the trouble shooting suggestions. The keyboard and mouse were only about 3 feet from the USB dongle in the CPU! Even tried fresh batteries in case the ones included were stale. Now we've got to make a trip back to Best Buy to return this junk.

Good Keyboard, Dead mouse!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this combo to try and save a few dollars from the Microsoft or Logitech models. This turned out to be a bad decision. The keyboard works just fine all the time, but the mouse is useless. It constantly freezes up and is literally unusable. I had to go back to a wired mouse until I can pick up a new one. I don't like to base my opinion on a brand over one bad purchase, but I will not probably take my chances in the future with Insignia. I guess the old saying of you get what you pay for holds true. However, I at least expect a product to actually work.
