I purchased the Smart Start for my iPhone about 4 years ago on one of my trucks for my business and it finally run its coarse. So I started doing some research online of other systems, since technology has advanced so much since then. But to my amazement, I found out that it was pretty much same market for this type of thing. So I went in to Bestbuy in Rochester, MN and bought a similar package, but for about half the price. (Which was extremely helpful). So the Saleman was very helpful in setting it up for install and even went as far as taking me down to install bay and talking with installer. Just like 3-4yrs ago. So I go to get my truck picked up and my phone wouldn't start it or unlock the doors, but I did have an update that I needed to do on my phone. So I paid and left. Not thinking that anything was not going to work, but I was wrong. I updated my phone, and nothing. I deleted and redownloaded app and still didn't work. So I call Bestbuy and they say I will have to bring it back in. (Now mind you its 54miles one way to the the Bestbuy) so it isn't just swing in and they can look at it. So I schedule a time and my first time I couldn't make it. But I called and let them know. The installer suggested that I bring it in and drop it off Friday. (Which just happens to be today). But in the mean time I get an email from Smartstart with a phone number, so I called it and the gentleman helped me right out. He said they would have to check to see if the signals where good and reset it. And it worked for my dually but not for 2004 2500HD. So I drop it off today at 10am and around 2:30pm the tech calls me and says that they are doing what I already did earlier this week. But he just wanted to call and let me know. (Which was nice of him) But then he calls back around 4pm and tell me that it's the responder and that they don't have one in stock and it will be next Wednesday before he get it in the store and I would have to schedule another time to come back and have it installed. Ahhhhh NO! I paid for it to be right the first time but not second and third time! No way, that's not my problem! Where's the customer service here. I paid over $1000.00 for this system and all its little nidbits. Now your telling me i need to come back again cuz you don't have it in stock and its up in Richfield, MN. Which is about the same distance from Rochester Bestbuy to Richfield. I just told him to keep truck there until he gets it fixed!
