This is not a review of the refrigerator, only the installation process. I ordered the carry-off of the old refrigerator and getting the water line unhooked was an almost futile effort, since the man doing the work kept tightening the connection instead of loosening it. I noticed what he was doing and let him know he was going in the wrong direction. He then was able to loosen and disconnect the water line. It wasn't long before I clearly saw that the refrigerator was being delivered by two men who were not well-trained for the job they were doing. Using the harness, the two had the most difficult time removing the old refrigerator down, and the new refrigerator up, 5 porch steps. I thought several times they were going to lose control of both. I took the front door of the house off to facilitate getting the unit through the door. During the move I observed that one of the movers had no training in the use of the harness and I worry he could easily hurt his back doing it the way he was, much of the time spent in a very stooped position. When they got the refrigerator in place, the lead mover/installer had difficulty connecting the water line to the new refrigerator without it leaking. He knew what plumbers tape was, but was attempting to wrap the leaky connection, instead of taking the connection apart and wrapping the threads. I instructed him in what I knew about plumbing and he was able to complete the job without more leaks. They both had a hand in putting the door handles on, but didn't do it correctly. The door handles kept coming off. I figured out for myself, after they had left the premises, how to properly install the handles from videos on Youtube, but even the videos I saw had nothing about loosening the mounting screws on the door so that the handles would engage; if I hadn't done that, the handles would be still useless and I'd be waiting on a repairman to fix that. I don't see all this as the workers fault, but as BestBuy's fault for not properly training the workers. My neighbor reported that he had the total opposite experience with those delivering his appliances that he bought so I know that this could be an isolated incident, but for me, it is cause to consider whether I do this again through BestBuy or not. Since I actually paid money for the install service, it is definitely off-putting.
