    They did not install the water line. The delivery team was horrible and didn't do anything. Best Buy was awesome they are 2 different companies.

    Great Frig/BEST BUY WILL FRUSTRATE YOU!

    The refrigerator itself seems to be excellent. The doors and metal hinges seem to be built to last and seems like a durable appliance. The installation of the water line process with Best Buy could not have been a more frustrating and stressful process. I scheduled the installation 5 times. 3 times the 3rd party that Best Buy uses was a no show. The other 2 times they were not successful in installing our water line. I am not a plumber and I am very busy but because of the frustrating and disappointing process with BestBuy I ran the line myself and had a friend do the plumbing hookups. What if I was unable to have a friend help and do the work myself??? Best Buy sold me the frig because of the water and Ice Dispenser but did not ensure that it was installed(this is not what they said before I paid for the frig). The process of asking Best Buy for help was not helpful at all. The customer support is disappointing to say the least. I tried calling, walking into the local BestBuy store, chatting online, looking for an email to send and in all cases my time was wasted and the process was caught in a loop of frustration. I learned that local stores that sell the appliance and install it and provide the warranty support are worth paying a little extra for. Best Buy and the Best Buy customer service process has strongly encouraged me to shop for my appliances at other places.

    Overall rating very good. Installation of ice-maker water line delayed due to need for professional plumber to add adapter to existing plumbing. Only complaint is the pesky fingerprints on the stainless steel.

    Poor Service No new water source was installed.

    I would not recommend this service for Advanced Installation of a new water source. Our new refrigerator was delivered May 22 and the installation of the new water source was scheduled for May 26th. I got a bunch of reminders via phone email, and text that my appointment window was from 12:00PM to 6:00PM The installer never showed up and I never received a phone call from Best Buy it the installer. After I called Best Buy they said all they could do was reschedule me for June 4th. I scheduled between 7:00AM and 1:00PM my only option. They then call the day before telling me my install window will now be between 1:00PM and 4:00PM. The installer shows up and tells me that he can’t perform the installation because we do not have copper pipes but CVPC and that they won’t be able to do it. No where on the Best Buy Website does it have requirements for piping or what is necessary. When you pay for Advanced Installation of a new ice making water source that’s what you inspect. That the installer will be running a new water line (new water source) to the fridge. Customer Service did not seem like they cared or that they wanted to help. Not only did they waste my time by having to take off work. I now how to figure out getting a new water line installed. When you advertise advanced water installation and specifically say a new water source then that’s what you should be prepared to provide. I’m just very disappointed and the overall experience as been frustrating. Beware of the potential problems of this.

    Don't Expect Best Buy to Know How to Do This Work

    The refrigerator itself is great, but when they came to install it they said this job was too difficult for them and we would need to call a plumber. Despite the fact that the website states they will install a new water line if you do not actively have one, they refused to install a new water line and specifically said we should go to a plumber instead. I should have just listened to them, but thought I would call and give Best Buy a chance. After a 45 minute phone call, most of which I was on hold, I was told they would need to come back in 2 weeks (no earlier availability for customers who were not given correct installation the first time) and would still be within the 4 hour time window. I can't afford to take off another day of work to wait around and hope their people will do the job we were promised, so I asked for a refund. Hired a plumber for $15 more who gave me an hour time window and came in two days. Based on other reviews listed here and the behavior of our installers from Best Buy, I can only infer I received a much better service than using this instillation from Best Buy. I am not sure why they are offering a service that they are not able to provide and that their installation people seem to know nothing about.

    Terrible service and installation

    I can't say enough bad things about this experience. Best Buy has no real communication with their outsourced install teams. The install was rescheduled 3 times; at no point did the install team's records and Best Buys match- so no one could actually tell us when they would come. Beyond that, the install team dragged the refrigerator sideways (against the way the wheels go) on our 100-year-old hardwood floors, creating a huge dent in them. Other things not done: - New shut-off valve not installed. - Half of the plastic not removed - Installers became angry when we expected them to remove the refrigerator box - Refrigerator not leveled. No testing was done on the water connections. We are now waiting on hold, yet again, to try to have someone come back out to fix those. Honestly, this was the single worst installation experience we've ever had.

    Cancelled Day of Delivery

    I called before purchasing the fridge with advanced install to ensure they could a waterline, customer service said yes just buy the advanced install option. The people Best Buy use to set up the appointment "Installs Inc." couldn't manage to find someone to install a waterline and in the 13 days from time of purchase to the day of delivery/install no one could call. I got a text the day of from the company Install Inc. chose stating thy weren't the correct people. Call Best Buy and they didn't know they couldn't find anyone. That's cause they didn't try, I googled and fount 10 different places. But no now I have a fridge coming today and can't hook it up because Best Buy can't outsource to a company who knows their stuff. Completely disappointed, oh i'll get the $135 dollars back but that doesn't do anything for the stress now and having to take off work to get the line done. Will never buy appliances from them again, the rep at Best Buy I just got off the phone with said this is not surprising. Then why do you still use them? Pathetic

    Great Installers!

    The men that installed my fridge did a great job. It's perfectly balanced and they were careful of my house as they brought this big appliance in. They also explained some of the features. I had bought this online, so had not talked to a salesperson to learn what I needed to know.

    Can't provide service they charge for..

    I paid for a new water line to be installed. The delivery team shows up, says they can't do it, complete the delivery, and leave. Why offer a service you can't provide? I called to speak with customer support. They tell me to call back the next day for a refund because they can't help today. They also stated that the company they use in my area can't complete the install since they can't handle going in a crawl space. The website states they can do this for an additional charge which I was fine paying. Now I need to find a plumber to complete but plumbers are not available during the weekend and if they are, rates are higher. When I asked to speak with someone to file a complaint, I get transferred and have been waiting on hold for at least 15 minutes (still on hold right now). Again, why offer a service that is not available? The ability to install a new water line was the ONLY reason I purchased this item through Best Buy.

    Learned that we would need a longer than 6 ft water line..one of our salesmen found what we needed at a local hardware store-works perfectly!

    Don't do it

    The website says you need a water line within 20 feet of the new fridge, but when they came to deliver the fridge they said they couldn't install the water line because the only way they can do it is by tapping into the sink which is on the other side of the kitchen. If I would have known this I would have gotten a cheaper fridge without a water dispenser, but now the Black Friday sales are gone so I can't swap it out. To make everything worse I called to get a refund and was on and off hold for over 45 minutes while they kept asking the same questions and I had to repeat myself over and over. Apparently the installer marked the job as complete even though they never did the water line install and now they can't get ahold of him to verify. Supposedly they are going to give me a refund but now I have to wait for them to call me back. How hard is it to make it clear what the requirements are? Not happy

    Did not perform the work, gave up and left.

    The service guys came and decided they cannot do the work, gave up, and left. They claimed they only can connect the water line to an existing shut-off valve, and will not install a new valve. The description of the service is very clear: Install - "Includes 20 feet of supply line and shut-off valve to nearest and accessible cold water supply..." Why do I need to pay $150 for the service if all they going to do is screw the hose to an existing valve and the refrigerator? I am certainly capable of do that. They were rude and seems to be in a hurry. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service. I am waiting (I hope) to get my refund. I hope the service guys will not claim they actually did the work. Bye Bye, Best Buy.
