Smells bad

As I did my research how to get rid of the smell, I did everything... running with vinegar, frying few times.. but end up retuning, My whole house would smell plasticy and food made in it would taste the same way... Had to return it.

Plastic smell and taste

We made some french fries and tater tots and it was like a plasticky taste and also Kitchen was like a burned smell. PLEASE BEWARE.

I was using it for probably the 5th or 6th time, pulled my basket out to flip the food and when I put the basket back in it would not turn on. Tried multiple outlets and even waited till it cooled back down. checked to make sure the basket was in correctly. Took it back and returned it as it was still within the time frame,

Awful Taste and Smell

It smells

I tried clening it but thats didnt help. I could smell it as soon as i walk into my apartment even though it was imside the cabinet. I had to return it. Hopefully it was only my unit.

Posted .Thanks for your question! The Instant Vortex 6 Quart Air Fryer may have an odor the first few uses, however it should dissipate. We suggest rinsing and drying the cooking trays before using them as well as double checking that there is no tape, plastic or any other packaging material attached to the unit. To remove smells, wipe down the inside of the unit using a slightly damp cloth with water, vinegar, and baking soda. Please also dry the interior thoroughly before use. We hope this helps!

DON'T BUY FROM BEST BUY

The one I have has a cracked handle thing after two months, but I'm really bummed about the defective one that I gave my family member for Christmas that Best Buy won't replace

From Bad to Worse

I contacted vendor and was told they don't include that even though box said it was included. I found instructions online and did all the precheck work and it went as outlined. I cooked my first item, chicken wings and they were wonderful. The second time I tried to use it the display did not work. The minute I plugged the unit in it started to heat but did not display anything. I looked through troubleshooting guide online and there wasn't anything I could do to fix. I will now attempt to return it.
