It only worked fine for 6 months

It seems like it starts cooking before reaching adequate pressure, even though I check all the valves and set it to high pressure. My previous model never had issues like this, and I wouldn’t have replaced it if the old one hadn’t physically broken down.

Do not get for slow cooking

Posted .Thank you for reaching out. It can take quite a while for the slow cook function to get to temperature- at least 4 hours on "less/low" or 2 hours on "more/high." We recommend you use the more/high setting for the best results. The cooking time includes the preheating time. For example, if a recipe calls for 6 hours of cooking time, that time includes the 2-4 hours for the pot to preheat to the cooking temperature. When you press start, the cooking time begins counting down. We hope this helps.

First use

It was on the 3rd and final preheat progress bar and then it went back to the 2nd. Had to bring out the old crockpot to make sure the meal was done on time.

A piece of JUNK!

However, to be honest, this IP is a piece of junk. The pot will not seal consistently, and, it never will move from pre-heat to cooking. Called the IP support line, they are just as bad as the pot itself, all they want to do is open a repair ticket. I will title this review...APiece of Junk!

I used it for only a month then it burns the rice … it does not automatically stop …. I call the instapot service 2x but told me to take a pic and video …. Waste of time cuz twice I told them the problem…. Don’t buy that instant pot waste of of money….i hate it !!!!

InstantPot Duo Plus- Not Safe for consumption

I did 2 test runs before cooking some rinsed beans (newly bought) in water, with added salt and garlic powder. The cooking was completed fast. The taste was supper bitter, metallic and very chemical like. I googled to see what solution- there are multiple reviews saying the same thing, and how these taste doesnt go away. Thjs cannot be safe for human consumption, its that bad. I dont believe the 4.8 star rating anymore.
