Instant Pot - Duo Nova 8-Quart 7-in-1, One-Touch Multi-Cooker - Silver Having used a different brand of electric pressure cooker and a traditional stovetop pressure cooker I expected the delicious, tender meats and well-cooked but still tasty vegetables. What I didn’t expect was the quiet operation and ease of use of the Instant Pot. There was no loud hissing or clacking when it reached the desired pressure. The natural release is just that – slow and quiet over about 30 minutes. It’s very easy to release the pressure quickly with the quick release button without the noise and spewing molten liquid that came with my other pot’s quick release. The preset time/pressure buttons are simple to use and easy to adjust if you want to add more time. The keep warm feature ensures the food stays at a safe temperature and ready to go on the table if you aren’t ready when the meal is done. A frozen 3lb boneless pork roast took an hour and a half from freezer to well cooked and falling apart tender. Frozen chicken breasts cooked in a can of chicken broth took 30 minutes to become fork tender and juicy. A quick release, dump in some baby carrots and little potatoes, add 8 more minutes of cook time, and dinner is complete. It took very little time for the Instant Pot to come back up to pressure and cook the vegetables with the chicken and broth. All pressure cookers make delicious meals with ease. The Instant Pot makes them quietly and easily. The preset buttons are simple to use and adjusting them is straight forward. This is the best pressure cooker I’ve ever used.
