So great product, but i have a few issues that can be solved with more money. 1. You cannot oc it. I am very into pcs now and lemme tell u, the highest single core performance is 4.3ghz at intels already bad (compared to AMD's) IPC. As soon as you add another core to the mix it drops down to 4ghz. Ouch. That is after i spent forever in uefi and tweaking settings. Ik about the K versions, but the 10400 doesnt even have one. You need to step down to an i3 i think or go with the 10600k, which is another 80 bucks. Thats 1.5x this price. 2. Upgradability. If you are building your new system right now, buyer beware that 12th gen is coming out, completely wrecking all upgradability. The highest you will get is an i9-11900k, and by the time it is already affordable there will be a new, IDK 20th gen out by then with efficiency levels way over that. 3.Actual power usage. If you unlock all power limits and crank the cpu(85 watts) and onboard GPU (15 watts) you get 100w power usage, which is, according to my bad mental math, 160% of what intel rates it for, 65 watts. Now time for the good parts. 1. I am using a hyper 212 evo with 2 3rd party case fans (kingwin 5$ special, nothing special) and i hit a max of 55°c in my 27°c room. I didnt even try the stock cooler, cuz that would be a bloodbath. 2. High performance, too high. I cannot find a gpu that wouldnt bottleneck this cpu at 1080p at the price of this cpu, let alone 2x.
