I was definitely stuck on trying to get the AMD 5600x, due to the current slot on my motherboard, but after weeks of waiting I took a second look at this CPU. I ended up trading up to another motherboard and tried this CPU. Definitely a great performer like night and day compared to my old CPU. A little pricier than the AMD but performs without issues. With some overclocking it will probably out perform the 5600x in all benchmark tests including single and dual core.

Incredible value. Do not get an i9 if you want a top of the line processor for gaming - the 17-10700k is all you need. Performance has been phenomenal.

Bought this CPU after making build-list for an upgrade. Good CPU performance. Have not tried to overclock yet. But I would buy a unlocked CPU again.

Great cpu, ignore reviews of high temps. Have it paired with a 1660 super and tomorrow my 3070 is arriving and it’s great!!!

Not much to say about this one. Very powerful processor with over clocking options No problems with it , it performs fantastic

If you’re deciding between the i7-9700K, the i9-9900K and this one, get this one. It is just as good as the i9-9900k and is $100 cheaper.

So far, the processor works great. It is very fast, and paired with my graphics card, it easily plays all of my games.

Processor seems to be great. This processor has been overclocked to 4.9GHz and is running stable. Good performance on MSFS2020

Moved up from a Ryzen 5 3600, the performance is something hard to complain about. Amazing cpu!

I think this is a really fantastic processor for so many functions. I made a PC for a friend for GIS purposes, and it worked a charm compared to even the 8th generation in terms of its capabilities to do CAD drawings, data dense processes, those sorts of actions. I think it would work pretty well with gaming too, I havent put it through too many of its paces there, but it handles textures well and high frames per second on a good monitor.

Fast, temperatures are good, 35 at ideal and around 60 at load. those people who are saying it's hot actually they don't have this processor. Not much expensive in other countries, it's only expensive in India because of 42% tax. So if you love intel and want the same performance as core i9 9900K then this is for you, because core i9 10900K is out of stock now.

Well performing CPU with 8 cores, and 16 threads at 5ghz. This older premium processor now makes a great higher end budget option due to less expensive motherboards, and DDR4 RAM. The average user will not notice the difference between this, and the most expensive CPU's. For gamers this can give 90% of the FPS for much less than the 12th generation CPUs with expensive LGA1700 motherboards, real expensive DDR5 RAM.

Great processor. This processor has 8 cores and 16 threads. Works fantastic for both gaming and productivity work. Works with lga1200 socket motherboards. I upgraded from an 8700k and I can see the improvement. For the price though, I would probably get the 12600k, which BestBuy also sells, its $50 cheaper roughly, but that extra $50 would be spent on a z690 motherboard since those are typically more money

Love this processor. Got a stable over clock of 5.1Ghz on mine with a Corsair h150i AIO. Handles all games nicely.

This is a good processor. If you’re gaming, look no further, this will give you the best performance on the market right now. The 10900k offers only 1 or 2 frames MAX for gaming, but is great for other tasks such as video editing. I cancelled my order of this chip however. Why? Because AMD is announcing their New Ryzen chips by the end of the year and intel’s 11th gen chips have been highly anticipated and they are just around the corner. My 4790k will be more than enough till then.

Pairs very well with a RTX 3080Ti, but can run quite hot if you choose to over clock.

Despite all the hype surrounding the new ryzen processors from AMD, I decided to go with team blue and I'm glad I went with the 10700K. It's a solid cpu and a good value for money, runs pretty cool and I haven't seen any performance issues. And the biggest plus, it's actually available to buy off the shelf without having to refresh for hours. I've paired it with an EVGA rtx 3080 FTW3 Ultra and it's a winning combination for sure!
