    This is a hot chip. By that I mean that it runs at very high temperatures. Any kind of stress-test program will hit the thermal throttling limit of 100C. My cooler is a 240mm Arctic Freezer II AIO water cooler. The Intel 13700K can draw 225 Watts under those condition but the LGA1700 package of that part has too much internal thermal resistance. It needs a better heat spreader. In practice, real-world computing will never draw anywhere near that much power and the part will not thermal throttle. It has been stable and fast with everything I have run on it. Gaming is great.
