I hate building PCs

We are sorry to hear that your computer system experienced issues when you installed the Intel® Core™ i7-13700K processor; if the motherboard used to build the system is an Intel® 600 Series chipset-based motherboard, it will require a BIOS update to boot the 13th Gen Intel® Core™ desktop processors. Intel® recommends updating the BIOS on your Intel® 600 Series Chipset-based systems for compatibility before using the 13th Gen Intel® Core™ desktop processors.

Faulty 13th-14th generation Intel processors.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this chip 3 years ago, and it wasn't until august of 2024 that Intel decided to release the withheld information that their 13th and 14th generation processors were faulty. Faulty as in they were drawing off too much power and frying the chip. I've gone through the past year troubleshooting the hardware on my PC, going in and out of Best Buy's geek squad services, having them suggest parts to replace only for the issues to remain. And now that Intel has finally decided to share this information 2 years later.
