No issues with product so far but time will tell. Not happy with store personnel

Would give it 5 stars but I've only been using it for a few weeks now.

So far so good but I still think the 9900k would have been better

I spent over $400 for an upgrade on 5 month old gaming computer and when geek squad gets done with it, I get back a broken gaming computer. I am very disappointed and upset. I brought my sons computer into the villages Geek Squad at Best Buy to have the processor upgraded. When purchasing the first processor, which was an i7 10th gen processor bought in store, i was advised that they needed to check with a tech to make sure the motherboard would support it. They came back and advised me that the mother board would support it. I Dropped the computer off on scheduled date and was told when I picked it up that now the motherboard would not support the processor and I needed a i7 9th gen. When advising them of what I was told the day before, the just said that was incorrect and they didn’t know who said it. Ok, no biggie, ordered a new one and scheduled another date to drop the computer off. After leaving it for a day, I go to pick it up and see the lady had a part of the computer separate. I was then advised that the computer had a yellow screen when they turned it on, after the new processor placed. and that the graphics card is bad and needs to be replaced. I am furious. My son was on that computer until the day it was dropped off and it was working fine. Now I pick it up after wanting just the i3 processor upgraded to an i7 processor, for the reason of my son wanting to play games that an i3 processor did not support and caused the computer to freeze. I was told that they could not prove the computer worked before I got there and there was nothing they could do but sell me a new graphics card (approx.$300) Why would I bring a broken computer in to have an upgrade? If the graphics card was bad and screen was yellow, I would have brought it in for that. I do plan to contact corporate about this situation.

When they delivered it, the box came damaged and so did the processor box, but the processor looks fine. Will update this review tomorrow to see if it still works which im hoping it is.

I got this chip only to realize that the Ryzens of this pricerange blow this ome out of the water. I took it back after seeing some of the benchmarks for similar AMD chips and got Ryzens instead.

Benchmark is on low end even with aio..it is clearly an upgrade from my i5 6600k but I'm disappointed in the performance so far. Oh well maybe next time...

I think AMD Ryzen 7 2700x is much better price for performance. I got Intel since it was recommend by my Professor for my online classes.

I blocked one of these that were bought through a hack into my account. I talked with Bestbuy yet the review still comes to me.

this seemed like it would work well, but i ended up going for the i9 9900k instead, which is great.

Olny 8 thread on an 8 core cpu quite disappointing and it's only 9th gen not 10th.

This processor has poor performance on some applications.

Its 2023 and I still havent had a reson to upgrade my CPU. I am still able to play all AAA games at hig settings with a good graphics card. Solid CPU

Very fast, never disappoints. Easy to install. Runs all programs and games I throw at it without problem

When I installed the CPU my computer would never load past bios. I don't know if the one that came in was just broken, my bios wouldn't accept a new part, or if it didn't get enough power. All I do know is that once I put in my old CPU everything worked just fine.

I had bought this cpu in 2020 and it still performs with games as good as when I bought it. 10/10 would recommend

If you don't get this CPU, get the 9900K for a little extra. But the 9700K is everything you need for high level gaming. 8 core / 8 thread - blazing fast. Exceptional single core and multi core speeds. Easily OCs to 5.0 to 5.2 across all cores. Some users report that this chip runs hot, however, my Corsair H100 AiO keeps the 9700K under 60C under the heaviest loads and never over 40C at idle or during light work. If you're budget oriented and need an overall productivity machine, consider Ryzen - if primarily building a gaming rig, go Intel. 9700K is a champ

Very sad product came damage and I don't know how to get a replacement

Great processor still holds up 4 years later, havent had any issues still keeps up with all my 1440p gaming when paired with my 3070 never had any issues.
