Thing is a absolute monster. Does anything i throw at it with ease. Does run hot but its a great CPU

This processor is absolutely AMAZING. Coming from a 5800x, this thing wipes out anything I need and with my 4090, I just don't need to push it to its limits. It makes my life a whole lot easier with hoe much it can multitask for me and I can render everything I need in seconds! Coupled with the sale, heck yeah! I don't want to spend another $200 for the 13900k when my main usage is graphics.

After a few months of testing the item, i recommend it. There was a recent article about adding rubber washers between the motherboard and ILM so that there wouldn't be as much pressure on the lid itself, reducing up to 5C. I haven't had any complains about this processor and does everything i need in terms of content creativity and gaming.

Great product. I built computer for gaming and this processor has been great at handling whatever I play on my computer. I have found the thermals to be excellent and heat mangement has been easy to manage. I used and built many computers with Intel processors and this is one of the best.

Love this CPU. Purchased a while after release for a great price and bundled this with a cash back offer from Chase to maximize my savings. The integrated graphics is great as well and allows me to play emulated N64 games easily without the need for my external graphics card.

Excellent choice for powerful gaming machine. Install easily, booted first try, over-clocks easily. note LGA1700 requires different standoffs for use with Corsair coolers. (readily available from Corsair) Matched with Asus Z690-E Strix M/B, EVGA RTX 3080ti, Corsair H115i cooler, 32GB Corsair Dominator DDR5-5600 DRAM.

Still a really good CPU up until this day! For the normal user, keeping it at stock speed is more than enough. If you overclock it slightly, you will feel even better performance. This build is mainly intended for Video Editing and occasional gaming.

Powerfull chip. Never seen my computer run so fast

My son is building his own gaming computer. Was looking at the I7 13th generation. I thought it was over price. Decide to look at what the i9 12th gen were priced. Glad I did. Best Buy periodically runs this on special and I got it for less than the i7. What a deal.

Paired with a Lian Li Gallardo 360 AIO. Streesed tested for a few hours without any issues. Don't cheap out on cooling as this processor can run hot. Idles around upper 20Cs-low 30s, and 80s under extreme load in my setup. If going the air-cooled route, go with something like a Noctua U12a or better.

Intel is back. Def recommend an aio to cool. If care about fps get this.

He was upgrading from a i7-9400f to this processor. His temps stayed maxed out. He said the processor made a world of difference. Max rates, perfect temps, and processing intense fames at between 55 & 60%. The processor is definitely worth it.

Fast as can be, easy to install. I will say the first one i brought home was labelled incorrectly!! wierd I know, it waid i9 on the chip and packaging but when I put it in the machine it came up as an intel Celeron!!! So bizarre! Went to best buy and they exchanged it no questions and the new one was correct, so crisis averted!!

I waited seven years to upgrade my PC because my Skylake CPU was not a limiting factor in a lot of games for a long time. However, my computer had DDR3 memory and fast DDR4 / DDR5 memory eclipses the performance of my old DDR3 computer. Relative to the 12th generation Intel processor, the Core i9 is a bit of a splurge and it is annoying having to find a CPU fan that is compatible with the LGA1700 (extra wide). Due to the supply shortages, it can be hard to find a CPU fan that comes with the appropriate bracket, so be sure to check for compatibility (if it's not included in the box, most manufacturers appear willing to freely send the bracket to you). Similarly, it can also be very hard to get DDR5 memory due to the supply constraints across the industry. Ignoring the pain of the supply chain issues, the 12th generation Intel processors bring along compatibility with PCIe 5 (pretty much unused) and DDR5. I originally bought a DDR5 motherboard, but I ended up returning it and going with a DDR4 motherboard (DDR4 and DDR5 are not compatible, but these CPUs support both) because I could not find DDR5 memory available at a reasonable price. I am very happy with my decision because it performs great and DDR4 memory is widely available.
