But unfortunately the CPU Was DOA and will be returning for a refund. Sadly things do happen. Will try a 14900k in the future.

We understand how frustrating may be the overheating of the processor. The K processors do not include any heatsink or thermal paste in the package, therefore, require a cooling solution (air or liquid cooling).
Ensure that the thermal solution used is compatible and correct for the specific CPU; the thermal solution must be equal to or higher than the Processor Base Power-based.

Crashes after only a few months,

Received damaged box (the corners)

CPU already had traces of thermal paste!!! It tells me that it was being used and sold as new. I proceeded with installation and CPU memory controller was a toast. I would not even work at DDR4 3200 speed. I returned the item and decided to buy this elsewhere.

Real review, thing is a monster. New gen might be OTW but this is top level CPU power. Runs HOT under sudden load (70+ spikes) so get a powerful cooler or you will have it for only a few years. Ambient runs a good 35-40 with my liquid (paired with 4080 TUF)
