Gave it 128 gigs memory, 1TB SSD and 4 TB 7200 HDD to play with. It runs in FTL mode... Amazing performance. OS and apps launch immediately.

Great processor with amazing performance. Unfortunately DDR5 has some growing pains with gaming and using 4 DIMs with XMP. It will likely (in some cases like with CoD - certainly) cause games and even your to crash. You can easily fix us. We’re just using two or dims with the motherboard and you’ll be fine. I also recently switched from a 7950 X to this because of the boot issues at those processors I’ve had for the longest time they graded give me performance but I definitely recommend this if you don’t want to worry about new generation adopter issues.

Excellent performance. If you start to bottle neck, you are likely looking in the wrong place. There is an issue with the TDP draw being set too high out of the box, but easily rectifiable and man oh man does it work. Serious performance. At this price point, you likely are less worried about value and more about raw performance and it delivers.

Better then I expected. Just need to be aware of overheating. So a high performance aio cooler is also recommend.

It runs HOT. Like, super hot. But if you cool it right, tweak the voltages a bit, and use good thermal paste, this processor is a BEAST.

I built a gaming rig for a cousin using this cpu when they launched it and was surprised how much more performance it had over my 8086k based rig that was reaching it's 5 year upgrade cycle. I waited until just before the "14th Gen" launch to pick this up for my personal build and couldn't be happier since the newest chips don't have as much value in my eyes. I have seen a 20 percent uplift in performance in games and nearly 4x boost in my photo and video software!

I impulse bought the 13900k day of launch. Received the CPU today OCT 25th and will say this. Coming from a 12900KS that has a all P-CORE OC of 5.3Ghz I did NOT see a Beneficial FPS increase going to the 13900K in 1440p. I am using a RTX 3090 TI. Perhaps with a 4090 you will in 1080P. So me personally I wouldn’t recommend getting a 13900K IF you OWN a 12900K or KS SKU. Otherwise, if you have 11th gen or later you can’t go wrong with this upgrade. If going with 13900K I’d suggest going with DDR5 over DDR4. It is true that ddr4 is cheaper and you won’t see a difference in gaming from DDR4 to DDR5 but your overall windows experience will feel much more snappier and quick response times. (PS: it is worth noting you WILL NEED Windows 11 to take advantage of this chip.) As a tech enthusiast who wants the top end SKU and have bragging privileges I think this will be my personal first time thinking about actually returning this CPU.

I have to admit to being an Intel snob. I have owned more than 10 Intel processors over the years, so when the iCore 9 16 core processor came out, I knew I had to buy one! This thing is a BEAST!! I couldn’t be happier. It’s fast and stable. I haven’t had any problems with heating up due to the water cooling system that the Geek Squad recommended and installed. I highly recommend this Intel I core 9 processor for the shear power it has!
