Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the exceptional performance and high FPS this processor delivers, enabling effortless multitasking and smooth gameplay. Many appreciate the significant performance boost compared to previous generations, although some note the high price point. While some users report high temperatures under heavy load, others find adequate cooling solutions mitigate this issue. Overall, the positive feedback on performance outweighs concerns about cost and heat.

Is a great CPU! Easy to use, Very fast and has lots of cores, but you need a beast of a system to get the most out of it and even more of a beast cooling system, to make sure it doesn't go to a 100 Celsius immediately upon fully utilizing it. But when you're doing normal stuff like playing video games. Even CPU heavy ones it doesn't get too hot 72 °C with a 360mm rad. So to sum it up if you're getting this. Make sure you're getting it for a high end PC with at least a 360mm rad or full cooling water loop.

Fast and powerful! Does get hot while gaming (COD, POE, RDR2) however that is a cooling issue on my end. Other than that great product

Upgraded from 11700kf which was no slouch, and the improvement was massive and immediately noticeable. I was a bit worried about keeping it cool, but haven’t had any issues. To be clear, it does run very hot, but even in the most demanding games it tends to peak around high 60s (using a 360 AIO, and in a lancool 216 case. So, nothing extravagant, but it is decently cooled and in a case w/ good airflow)

Probably the best consumer CPU for multiple use cases. The heat issue is overblown as nost people are not running all-core workloads nonstop. Also if you want to run DDR5 reliably higher than 6000 then 13th Gen Intel is the only option. This particular chip I got is the coolest out of four 13900K/KF/KS chips I've tested and even an AIO can handle it running Cinebench R23 10 minute without throttling.

I paired this with a 420mm artic freeze 2 cooler and I score 39k and some change in cinebench. Although thats uncapped power and it hits 100c almost instantly and remains there for the duration of the test. Thats the only real downside to this chip, the temp and powee consumption. I got this for gaming with my 4090. Coming from a 5900x it was a pretty large upgrade and noticeable increased my FPS. Expecially my 1% lows.

Upgraded from a 12700-K to this amazing 13900-K. I was contemplating on getting the 14900-K for gaming but there wasn't lot of difference based on the reviews and the 13900-K was on sale so it was a win-win for me. We all know the 13900-K demolishes the 12700-K and leave it at that.

The Intel Core i9-13900K Gaming Desktop Processor has completely redefined my gaming and computing experience, offering a level of performance that's truly in a league of its own. With an impressive 24 cores, this processor delivers raw power that translates into seamless gaming, multitasking, and content creation.

Extremely fast processor. Cut down my render Time by about 5X. I set the TDP to Intel's recommend 125/253watt limit. Runs about 50c at full load using a custom water cooling loop. Seriously quick even with the TDP turned down from the crazy high levels stock.

Installed on an Asus Tuf z790 Motherboard along with an Intel CPU frame and this CPU is a monster, I do a lot of video editing and gaming so this was the no-contest choice for me. For anyone looking to purchase this CPU, I recommend getting a mid to high-end CPU cooler, I use a dual fan air cooler that keeps the CPU under 90 degrees Celcius while gaming and editing.

This 13th Gen CPU is AMAZING! Super fast and powerful to run any software applications you throw at it. I use for video editing, photoshop, light room, and gaming and have been surprised at the capabilities of this new CPU. Heard a few times that it runs hot but its expected any CPU with the power it provides. Highly recommended

Compared to my i9-9900K, this thing FLIES. And the 9900K was no slouch. The multi & single core performance are the fastest I've ever seen and in my opinion, worth the price. It does idle in the low 40C range, and under load while gaming, it will range from low 60's to low 70's on a Corsair H150i Elite Capellix AIO Liquid cooler.

Is very powerful, is amazing but it gets hot , you need a good AIO, example a Ek AIO to keep it from overheating, running a bench mark the max is 97c 98/100c, but it keeps it under the overheating levels, in regular gaming 60c or to 80c maybe less. Keep in mind I overlooked to 5,600mgz. Power consumption should be set to 308wts or 313wt. Going over this you will need water cooling. Example this CPU can run 5,800mhz and 6,000Mhz but only on a water cooling setup. Great card but it gets hot

Works amazing and great for Davinci Resolve. Please note that this CPU requires a great amount of cooling. 360mm or greater is what you should be using. I tried using a 280mm and still overheated.

the Intel core I-9 !3900K processor is a beast! It can handle anything I through at it and then some. It Is a very powerful processor. I would advise however that you get a good AIO for it. It gets pretty hot under load.

This thing is a monster! Came from a 12900k so not insane differences but it’s definitely faster with my 4090. I have a 420mm aio Corsair cooler and this thing still hits high 70s low 80s. I recommend a thermal right or thermal grizzly contact frame. I picked one up and it dropped my temps 5-7 degrees.

Not much to say other than if you want the top dog as of 2/23 this is it. The only downside is price. But. This is a processor that will remain viable for years to come. Awesome speeds, and not too terrible to keep cool. A single 420 radiator (80mm thick) in my case does quite well. Get it and enjoy.

At stock, this thing will hit 100c if you run CineBench or similar synthetic benchmarks. Mine is paired with an MSI Edge Z690 WiFi DDR4 board, Arctic MX-6 paste, ThermalRight frame and an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm. I ended up undervolting the thing to 1.295v LLC6 (MSI). During an hour of CB23 multi looping, it yields an average of 1.208v Vcore and 1.189v VR VOUT under load. Temps were in the 80's, with only one or two P-Cores hitting 90-91 max (not average). In terms of watts, it sustained 279w on average, with max peaks of 302w. That's a lot of power. This is with P-Cores, E-Cores and Ring all stock. I tried overclocking this chip with +100 on the P-Cores or E-Cores, and ran into WHEA errors. At least the specific sample that I got, it's not worth the extra the extra voltage, wattage, and ultimately heat. If you look at CPU-Z benchmarks compared to my i9-12900K that I upgraded from, this is about an 8-9% uplift in single scores (~900-915) and 41% uplift in multi (from 12000 to 17000).

Expensive, but for now no better upgrade. Runs HOT so a good cooler (water or AI) is a must. Not muchmore to say then what has aready been said. Should carry me for another few years till next gen arrives and there is a significant upgrade. I had already outgrown my 12700K.

Blazing fast CPU. This paired with the Rog Strix 4090 and 64GB of 5600mhz DDR5 is absolutely incredible. I am averaging around 200 FPS in Warzone 2.0 and higher in multiplayer. This CPU is definitely worth it if you are looking at building a high end gaming PC.
