Unacceptable crashing
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From intel "we have determined that elevated operating voltage is causing instability issues in some 13th/14th Gen desktop processors." Chips may have been damaged, unknown for now, their fix will not solve damage if it occurred, you must RMA. I would not recommend upgrading to the 14th or 13th gen chips at this time.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a product that I thought was new, I received an open box and since I don't speak English I can't make the return, there is no channel for the customer to talk, ridiculous customer service

DO NOT BUY
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avoid the 13900k and 14900k at all costs. These processors are so poorly built. I've spent over 100 hours in the last year troubleshooting, not to mention the 100+ hours added to my reboot times, since it takes 20-30 reboots to get a "Stable" boot. Submitted RMA claim to Intel along with thousands and thousands of others.

Died within months
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tons of stability issues so I got it RMA'd through Intel. The RMA process was painless enough, but now a few months later it's completely dead. The 14th gen Intel processors are really bad and have super high failure rates it turns out.

Terrible defective garbage
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Intel enthusiast for years. Despite applying the "final" BIOS update, and subsequent updates, I've had 5 CPUs fail. This will be my 6th unit.

CPU dead
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.CPU was dead out of the box. After exterme amounts of troubleshooting and replacing every other part in a brand new build, the culprit was the cpu. Ordered a replacement from amazon and it worked perfectly fine.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this and it didn't work. I can't believe something this expensive doesn't work straight out of the box. I had to wait until I got everything I needed to build a PC and now that I had the chance to build it this doesn't work and now I can not return it or get any support. DO NOT BUY

13th and 14th gen 900k crash dx12 games
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Make sure you do not buy an i9-13900k or an i9-14900k if you're planning on using it for games with dx12. You have to turn the pcore x down from Max to 52x to get it to run and this decreased performance. Then it will die not run smoothly. Do yourself a favor and google the processor and dx12 games crashing. You'll find a ton of reddit and Intel posts about it. Good luck.

Intel makes bad products.

Intel i9-14900K – A Beast of a CPU…
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Intel i9-14900K is an absolute powerhouse — let’s get that out of the way first. When this chip is working as intended, it’s one of the fastest consumer CPUs you can buy. Whether you’re into content creation, gaming, streaming, or multitasking across all of the above, this CPU handles it like a champ. If you want better, you’re likely looking at niche options like the Ryzen 7800X3D for gaming-specific performance — but for a balanced all-rounder, the 14900K is exceptional. Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: the reliability issues some users experienced. To my understanding (and experience), not all 14900Ks were faulty — many users had zero issues right out of the box. But for a significant number of us, that wasn’t the case. Some chips ran too hot, became unstable, or outright failed under certain loads. Thankfully, Intel and motherboard partners identified the root cause — largely tied to power delivery and voltage behavior, not the silicon itself. BIOS updates, including the latest microcode update 0x12F, have done an excellent job addressing these problems. Speaking from personal experience, my system became vastly more stable after applying the latest patches — a night-and-day difference. So here’s the deal: when the CPU works properly, it’s insanely fast. There’s a reason so many high-end builds use this chip — it’s perfect for mixed workloads and can drive high refresh gaming while encoding, rendering, or streaming in parallel. It’s a true flagship chip in that regard. That said, this is a product I do recommend — but with a caveat: know what you’re getting into. If you’re building with a 14900K, update your BIOS immediately to ensure you’re running the most stable version with the latest microcode fixes. Once that’s done, you’ll likely have an excellent experience. Final Verdict: The Intel i9-14900K is a true performance beast, capable of handling anything you throw at it. Yes, it had a rough start with stability issues on some chips — but with BIOS updates now available, those problems are largely behind us. If you’re prepared to do a little setup work and keep your system updated, this CPU will reward you with incredible performance. Rating: 9/10 — one of the fastest CPUs on the market, but only after proper tuning and updates. A fantastic chip if you go in with eyes open.
