With the newest iteration of Raptor Lake, my obsolete 13900k has been relegated to the dust bin of history. I have gained hundreds of MHz, and DDR5 stability at 8000MT/s! I can now be truly competitive at the highest levels. GG EZ.

    Was great when it worked

Ran the CPU within Intel specifications, never overclocked and it degraded within 4 months of use. Game crashes and BSODs started to become more frequent until I had to underclock the CPU to have it stable for more than an hour at idle. Got an RMA through Intel quickly. When the CPU did work in the past it was great and as fast as I expected. Be wary of the issues with 13th and 14th gen, I just hope I won't need to keep RMAing this cpu forever.

Quality Performing Processor. A bit power hungry but that is expected with any i9 processor. Having a good 360mm AIO can keep it running nice and cool with avg temps between 30-40c.

I bought this and was super excited. Immediately had instability issues out of the box, later did research and discovered all of the problems with the 14900k. I got nervous and returned the item. I learned after that if you update motherboard bios and whatnot the problems should go away. Even if they did, I didnt want to spend the amount of money for this chip to deal with any possible headaches in the future. Seemed like an unsure bet.

failed in less than a year and ruined my computer.

i am furious. i spent all my savings to finally have a dream machine. it didn't last a year before my computer started crashing more and more until it was totally unusable. i'm not able to just get up and go to best buy whenever i want. i had to pay for another one just so geek squad could test if that was the problem. we're getting to the furious part. the members of geek squad told me that the 14th gen is known to be defective and fail and they are just hoping that the new one i bought was new enough that the issue had been resolved on it. there wasn't a whole lot i could do since for some reason computer components don't come with a warranty, even for total members, which i am, and even though i was sold a product that was known to be defective. it would certainly be bad enought if this was the end of it. geek squad testing now causes the diagnostic to fail and crash my computer during a graphics test. they said all i could do was take it home and try it out. now over half of my games crash or can't even load. to sum up, my expensive dream machine is a piece of junk and there doesn't seem to be anyone willing to help me.

Was great until it wasn't. The one I ordered a while back was part of the massive batch of failed processors. Just got done getting my RMA submitted and approved. Now 7 days until I get back to a working home computer - will update review afterwards to consider the replacement's performance.

Fast CPU but Runs Hot and has a short life span. Known issue with Intel, and the warranty was extended. Mine only lasted 14 months, with the Best Cooler ROG provides.

Terrible processor. Regularly hits 100 degrees C. Ive RMA'd the first one i got to make sure it wasnt just me, i used 2 different CPU coolers. (Noctua DH-15 and a 280mm AIO from NZXT) Ive swapped it into my old case to be sure it wasnt air flow. This thing is just a horrible power hog for no good reason. Ive had to downclock it to get it to run at normal temps and its still insanely hot. I paid 600+ dollars to downclock my processor to be as fast as a $300 proc. Ive been an Intel fanboy for as long as i can remember but for the first time i am saying this is a giant miss, go AMD if youre just gaming.
