An outstanding sci-fi movie to watch over and over

Interstellar is an excellent sci-fi movie that breaks away from the recent spate of "super hero action" space saga movies. The film engages the viewer throughout its entirety with an excellent cast, acting, and astounding visuals and special effects. Instead of the typical 2-D CGI-laden films one sees today, filmed with actors/green screens, the filmmakers created sets, practical special effects and environments and found locations to convey the illusion of real space travel, the vastness of space and other worlds. The Bluray video and audio are flawless, and the special features about making the movie are also interesting to watch and very well executed. After watching the special features, I went back and watched the movie a second time! At its heart, though, this movie is about humanity, our interactions with one another and our place in the universe.

Arguably Christopher Nolan's greatest work. The visuals, story, characters, practical effects, & characters are second to none. Nolan does Science Fiction justice with this gem.

If Best Buy didn't offer exclusive bonus content in this title's package, I'd happily purchase at Target, Wal-mart of Amazon. Since Best Buy has shrunk their Blu-ray'DVD media section down to two or three rows of shelves, I have little reason to go into their stores anymore to browse. The space that had housed media now has phone cases and chargers. I purchase Blu-ray titles EVERY Tuesday, but only purchase a phone case or car charger once every two of three years. Do the math--how many other people like me are visiting your store far less often because of your shrinking media section? And even if I did need a cellphone accessory, I'd certainly purchase it online for a much better price. So... the ONLY thing that encourages me to purchase a Blu-ray title at Best Buy over a competitor is when Best Buy offers exclusive bonus content in the package...

Incredible movie, great 4k version. Disc is much better than the digital code it comes with, the digital code has a dolby vision version that changes the colors away from the intended viewing colors.

Fun film. If you like films about space exploration, and mysteries of the universe, you should enjoy this. Looks good on 4K

The picture on the 4K release is absolutely clear! Will be using this movie as a 4K reference.

They’re waves!! Another absolute masterpiece by Christopher Nolan. With the implanted iMax scenes, this movie is pure cinema in 4K.

Now, the story is great overall, but it does drag in some areas for me. I heard the transfer in 4K was well done. I came across this on sale and decided to jump on it. The visuals alone makes this a must purchase for your collection. I love everything about space and the space/planet scenes look phenomenal in 4K.

This is a movie that many missed seeing. It’s frankly one of my favorite movies ever! When it was re-released in theaters last year I went and saw it twice. Great 4K quality picture and the audio is awesome too.

Finally I got around to watching "Interstellar!" Wow, what a incredible viewing and mentally arousing experience! It's a modern day perception of "2001: a Space Odessey," sans Hal's scrutiny and omnipresence. This time it's Mathew McC's character that's responsible for the ultimate judgment and decision making for mankind's ultimate survival. A father who's sacrificed his son's and especially his daughter's companionship and growing up life's experiences, McC reluctantly decides to venture across interstellar space in a quest to ensure that our humanity is worth the trade-off. Plenty of literary and poetic contemplations, longings, and solemnities enrich and enhance one's critical analysis and reviewing of this visual and mind-boggling spectacle!

Already had the blu-ray which still looks very good, but I couldn't pass up the 4k when it was on sale for under $10. This might be Christopher Nolan's best movie in my mind. While the Dark Knight is still my favorite, Interstellar is the one that solidified him as the biggest blockbuster filmmaker of this era. This is one of those movies that theaters are made for so be sure to watch it on the biggest screen possible!

A great slow burn of a movie with a satisfying ending. The HDR and 4K visual effects are stunning.

The film is classic Nolan with his usual Nolan-isms, a great cast and some great technicians behind the lens to offer a beautiful film about survival which is fairly overlong with an ending that pushes credibility to the cinematic edge of the cliff, but all in all a terrific sci-fac film. The picture quality is outstanding, with Hoyt van Hoytema's cinematography on film(especially the 70mm IMAX scenes) is superb and has my faith with his work on SPECTRE will be as good if not better than Skyfall. The audio is top notch ( I wish I had an Atmos capable system) and the extras are in depth and plentiful with the BBY exclusive bonuses a nice touch. A recommended purchase, even if your not a fan of the film, the specs alone are enough to show off your system and a free IMAX film cell is also cool bonus to entice buyers.

Great movie. One of my favorites but this version with Imax scenes is another step above the rest.

Interstellar had been one of my favorite movies for a long while. I finally got the 4K and it’s amazing. The cinematography looks beautiful with the visuals. The 4K is the only way to watch this movie!

I seen these movies before wanted to see what it look like on my new 4K TV. Needless to say the visuals are stunning and each actually had a decent storyline. Would definitely recommend.

Another mind bender from Chris Nolan that merits repeat viewing,. This disc looks and sounds fantastic and is a step up from the blu ray. Definitely worth a watch.

Very pleased with this movie arriving in 4K UHD with HDR. I originally saw it on IMAX, which was an incredible experience. The quality of the 4K transfer is definitely captured for superb home viewing.
